The Church Age Believer is born into a unique spiritual power system connected to the Sovereign power of God. As a child of God, this Divine Dynasphere surrounds him with all the power of God. In the midst of Satan's Cosmic System the child of God is kept by the Almighty. In this encapsulated environment, patterned after the Garden of Eden, God personally attends to every aspect of the believer's life, including Divine discipline. Satan can only touch the believer with God's permission, and every aspect of life is perfectly designed to glorify God. Believers have the potential of going back to the Garden Spiritually. Angels are in awe, and Satan is thwarted by this magnificent demonstration of God's power in the life of mortal man.

The Spiritual Body
The angels were created with intelligence, power, and beauty. They were also given a free will. They were not God's slaves, except by choice. God was all powerful, and it would be futile to oppose him. However, the most powerful and beautiful angel that God ever created did just that. He chose to oppose the Son of God, the Lord of Creation who sat on the Throne of God and ruled over Creation. Satan, who was in charge of the Throne Room as a covering angel, a Cherub (Ezek 28:14), became arrogant and ambitious and sought to ascend to the Throne of God over all the angels and Creation (Isa 14:14). Satan was smart enough to know better, but arrogant and ambitious enough to take the risk.
Satan's arrogance was a sin of rebellion against God. God cannot tolerate sin against Himself. Therefore, God separated from Satan. But Satan continued his rebellion and convinced a third of the angels in Heaven to follow him (Rev 12:4). They rebelled against God and the other angels. Thus, began the Angelic Conflict (Rev 12:7-8).
Satan and his followers were tried and convicted. God, who is Righteous and Just, gave them a fair trial. They were sentenced to the Lake of Fire (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:10). However, Satan raised an objection of God's Righteousness in imposing such a harsh sentence, and God granted an Appeal Trial.
Man was created to resolve the conflict with Satan and the fallen angels (Gen 1:27). The life of man on the Earth would demonstrate the Righteousness of God. Man would be the jury and be allowed to choose to follow God or Satan. Man's life from beginning to end would represent the Righteousness of God in condemning Satan to the Lake of Fire to be banished from God forever based upon Satan's own decision to reject God forever.
Unlike angels, who are spirits, man was created in the image of God with a body, soul, and spirit (Gen 1:27). Man was placed in the perfect environment of the Garden of Eden on the Earth (Gen 2:8). Man remained in fellowship with God so long as he did not sin. The only way he could sin was to eat of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Gen 2:17). If he sinned, he would die spiritually and physically.
So long as man obeyed God, he was protected by the power of God from Satan and his Cosmic System. However, Satan was allowed to cross examine the witnesses. He indwelt the serpent and convinced the woman in the Garden to eat of the forbidden fruit (Gen 3:1-6). When the woman ate of the forbidden fruit, she died spiritually and became the slave of Satan. She then gave the fruit to her husband, and he ate. He also died spiritually and became Satan's slave. Satan ruled the man and woman as god.
Satan declared victory, but the trial had only just begun. All the issues of all the fallen angels must also be addressed. There would need to be more witnesses. The preincarnate Lord visited Adam and the woman in the Garden and offered them a redemption solution (Gen 3:8-21). The Lord would pay for their sins and give them Salvation if they would believe in Him. They believed in Him and were given the Adamic Covenant, which promised them a Savior (1 Cor 15:22). An animal was sacrificed as a testimony of the redemption solution promised in the Adamic Covenant (Gen 3:21).
Satan still ruled the world, but Adam and Eve were spiritually regenerated and restored to fellowship with God. However, they were weakened by sin in their bodies. The Old Sin Nature in them was contrary to God and hindered their spiritual power (Matt 26:41; Mk 14:38; Rom 6:19; 8:3).
During the course of human history, some men received a special Enduement of the Holy Spirit. The Enduement of the Holy Spirit protected them from sin and empowered them to perform a special mission. Noah was endued with the Holy Spirit to build the Ark. Moses was endued with the Holy Spirit to lead Israel. And David was endued with the Holy Spirit as King of Israel.
When Jesus Christ was born, He was filled with the Holy Spirit. His body was indwelt by the Holy Spirit and His soul was filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit empowered, controlled, and protected His soul from the Cosmic System. Jesus Christ, the God-Man, lived in a human body. The Divine nature and human nature were inseparably united in Hypostatic Union. Jesus Christ was every bit God and no less human. In His Deity, He was not able to sin. In His humanity, He was able not to sin.
Jesus Christ used the power of the filling of the Holy Spirit to execute His Spiritual life on Earth without sin. Because He never sinned, He was uniquely qualified to bear the sins of the world (2 Cor 5:21; Heb 4:15; 1 Pet 1:18-19) and fulfill the Adamic Covenant. Jesus Christ lived on Earth for 33 years without sin. He remained in fellowship with God separated from the Cosmic System. He never knew sin until God the Father imputed the sins of the world to Him on the Cross and judged them (2 Cor 5:21).
In the filling of the Holy Spirit in Hypostatic Union, Jesus Christ lived inside the encapsulated environment of the Divine Dynasphere. Note, dynasphere is a coined word, meaning power sphere. Jesus Christ proved the power of the Spiritual life in the Divine Dynasphere to handle the problems of life on Earth and attacks from the Cosmic System. He did not use His Deity but his Spiritual life to fulfill His mission on Earth. He used His Spiritual life in the Divine Dynasphere all the way to the Cross where He was sustained while bearing the punishment of God for the sins of the world.
The Spiritual life and Divine Dynasphere that Jesus Christ used is available to the Church Age Believer. It was effectively demonstrated by the Lord Jesus Christ in Hypostatic Union in greater pressure than we will ever face. The New Spiritual Life of the Christian is able to handle any exigency of life. All the power of God is available to meet any crisis. The Love and Happiness of God are always available during any suffering. The filling of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are always present in daily life on Earth. God did not leave us helpless in the devil's world. Satan does not have the power to trump the Sovereign power of God in our life.
The thinking of the soul is reflected in the spiritual body, and the strength or weakness of the spiritual body controls the vitality of the physical body. The soul in the darkness of the Cosmic System reflects that darkness in the spiritual body, and the physical body suffers the consequences. For example, the righteousness of the soul is reflected in the Chest of the spiritual body, which affects the heart and lungs. Authority is associated with the Crown of the head, and love is associated with the Womb/Belly.
See Planets in the Spiritual Body and Colors of the Spiritual BodyThe spiritual body may be weakened by Divine punishment (Heb 12:6). Reducing the Spiritual Light in the spiritual body causes weakness and infirmity. Darkness in the Spirit of Human Life may cause a stroke or heart attack, or it may cause sickness or disease. Hardness of the Heart and Blackout of the Soul may cause psychological problems, foolishness, or insanity.
The spiritual body is also subject to attacks from Satan and his demons. Satan can tempt a person to sin. Sin causes spiritual death, entrance into the Cosmic System, slavery to Satan, and separation from God. Living in a state of sin in opposition to God will also bring the wrath of God in Divine punishment. Sins of legalism and lawlessness deliver a person into Satan's camp and slavery to the Cosmic System. Satan as the Antichrist, or Evil King, controls the world through legalism, and Satan as the Prostitute of Babylon controls the world through lawlessness.
Other people in the world may also affect the spiritual body. People not only have spiritual power but they also have personal demons (familiar spirits) who have spiritual power. The spiritual power of other people will be called psychic power. People have the ability to overpower or seduce others through their psychic power. A person under the power of a demon is an antichrist or Prostitute of Babylon. People in sin with their demons are empowered by Satan and become his spokesmen to do his bidding. The lies of false teachers, the tirades of tyrants, and the gossip of slanderers are attacks that weaken the spiritual body.

Testing
The Garden of Eden was a paradise of Earthly delight; a place of peace, love, happiness, and bliss. There was no sin and no work. God gave Adam and 'Ishah a life of love and happiness in perfect environment. He provided food for them to eat and supplied all their needs in Grace. Adam and 'Ishah celebrated a honeymoon in the Garden. The woman was very beautiful and the man handsome. They were the perfect couple. They were naked and unashamed (Gen 2:25). They enjoyed the perfect uninhibited love and ecstatic sex as Right Man and Right Woman. They had the capacity for life and love to enjoy high peaks of sexual climax without emotional or physical detriment. Their love was harmonious rapport in spirit, soul, and body.
In the Garden the animals were not wild, and green plants flourished without weeds or thorns. The Garden of Eden was the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. Adam and the woman could enjoy life in the Garden so long as they obeyed God's command not to eat of the forbidden fruit. The only way they could sin was to eat the forbidden fruit (Gen 2:17).
At some point Satan was allowed to tempt man to sin. Satan convinced the woman to sin, and she convinced her husband. The man and woman in spiritual death were doomed to eternal condemnation. However, God offered them a solution, the Redemption Solution. The Lord Jesus Christ would pay for the sins of the world, but He would let man choose whether to accept the Divine solution and receive Eternal Life. Those who believed in Christ would go to Heaven. Those who did not believe would go to the Lake of Fire with Satan.
After the Fall God provided a Divine Dynasphere for man patterned after the Garden of Eden (Eph 1:19; Col 1:11).
The one who advances alone can advance to Spiritual Rapport without the distraction of Marriage (1 Cor 7:35). This one can be devoted to the Lord as a pure virgin (2 Cor 11:2). However, the Right Man – Right Woman relationship continues until death and is the source of testing (Rom 7:2; 1 Cor 7:39). Residence in the Divine Dynasphere (going back to the Garden) requires Capacity for Life, Love, and Happiness as well as purity in soul, spirit, and body (1 Cor 7:34; 1 Thess 5:23). The believer must avoid being choked by the world (Luk 8:14).
After the Fall Satan ordered a full assault on Marriage to destroy the possibility of going back to the Garden. In the antediluvian civilization Satan's demons married women and cohabited with them to produce a race of giants (Gen 6:1-4).
After the Flood Satan attacked Noah through drunken reversionism and homosexual incest (Gen 9:21-24). He attacked the Marriage of Abraham and Sarah, who were Right Man - Right Woman, through Pharaoh of Egypt and Hagar (Gen 12:14-15; 16:3-4).
Satan's counterfeit Garden was idolatry in which he was worshipped as the Evil King (Antichrist) and Prostitute of Babylon (Deut 12:2; 2 Ki 16:4; Isa 14:13-14; Jer 2:20). The worship of the Evil King often involved human or animal sacrifice, and the worship of the Prostitute of Babylon involved ritual prostitution.
Satan counterattacked David through adultery with Bathsheba (2 Sam 11:2-4). He counterattacked Solomon through the Prostitute of Babylon (1 Ki 11:4-8). And he counterattacks the Church through Jezebel (Rev 2:20). This includes false teachers and apostasy (Phil 3:18; Col 2:8; 2 Tim 2:26; 3:6; 2 Pet 2:17-19).
Spiritual Freedom inside the Divine Dynasphere requires avoiding Lawlessness and Legalism (2 Cor 6:7). Sanctification of the RM/RW relationship requires forsaking all others, which means not making passes or being seduced by others, and not fornicating or committing adultery (1 Cor 6:18; Eph 5:4; Heb 13:4; Jas 4:1-4). Immature attitudes, illusions, fetishes, perversions, hang-ups, and sexual lusts must be overcome (Matt 5:28; 2 Cor 10:5; 2 Tim 2:22; 2 Pet 2:14).
Testing is designed to prove obedience to Bible Doctrine in the RM/RW relationship. During the pressure of testing, the sins of legalism and lawlessness must be avoided. Childish and immature illusions, fears, and worries must be overcome. Examples include:
Divine Dynasphere in the Old Testament
Divine Dynasphere in the Church Age
Client Nation
Right Man – Right Woman
The Church
God continues to watch over His Creation. Even the unbeliever is afforded Divine protection to give him a fair shot at Salvation. If he wants to be saved, God will preserve him and give him an opportunity to hear the Gospel. If he accepts the offer of Salvation, he will receive even more Divine protection to give him an opportunity to grow up Spiritually and have a Love relationship with his Heavenly Father and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The power of the Divine Dynasphere in the Old Testament was based on the Sovereignty of God. However, since man did not have the Filling of the Holy Spirit, he was limited due to the weakness of his flesh (Rom 8:3). Jesus Christ in Hypostatic Union with the Filling of the Holy Spirit demonstrated the great power of the Divine Dynasphere. This same power is available to the Church Age Believer. With the Filling of the Holy Spirit in the Divine Dynasphere, the Church Age Believer has the potential of returning to the Garden. That was never possible in the Old Testament.
Psalm 91 expounds the glory of the Divine Dynasphere. The Psalm extols the wonder, power, and glory of the Divine Dynasphere in the life of the Old Testament believer. The Sovereign power of God is available to the believer to accomplish His Divine purpose. However, few people ever receive the miraculous demonstrations of God's power that are possible.
The human author of Psalm 91 is not known. There are two voices that are apparent in the Psalm from the Hebrew syntax, and the Divine voice of God answers in verses 14-16.
Psalm 91:1 First Voice – Dwelling in the Divine DynasphereDwelling in the "covering of the Most High" refers to a believer who is in the Divine Dynasphere. The Divine Dynasphere is a covering, an encapsulated environment. "The Most High" is the title for the Sovereign God in Heaven.
He who dwells in the covering (Divine Dynasphere) of the Most High,
Who abides in the shadow of the Almighty –
The Divine Dynasphere is called:
Psalm 91:2 Second VoiceThe Second Voice calls attention to the Lord's protection and power in the Divine Dynasphere. The Lord, as the second person of the Trinity, is called, "My refuge and fortress" (Psa 91:9 18:2 46:1 71:3 142:5; Deut 33:27-29). The Lord is also addressed as "My God" as a title of His Deity (Deut 26:17-19; Heb 11:16).
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!"
Psalm 91:3 First Voice – Deliverance from Traps and PestilenceThe Lord who watches over the Divine Dynasphere delivers the believer from the "snare of the fowler." This is a metaphor for deliverance from the counterattack of Satan (Psa 124:7; 141:9; Prov 7:23; Eccl 9:12; Hos 9:8; 1 Tim 6:9; 2 Ti 2:26). A snare is a trap set by the devil to capture the believer as his prey. Satan rules mankind by setting an elaborate set of traps. Examples of the traps include sin, lies, materialism, idolatry, promiscuity, and the love of money and the world.
For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the destroying pestilence.
Reversionists, who refuse to Rebound, are Satan's slaves. Such reversionists may get out from the snare of the devil if the pastor teaches true Bible Doctrine with humility.
2 Timothy 2:26The person who is the victim of Satan's snare is a slave in the Cosmic System. The person is open to Satan's influence through his soul. He will be motivated to do Satan's will just as Judas Iscariot, who fell under his influence (Jn 13:27). However, the Lord will deliver the believer in the Divine Dynasphere from Satan and his Cosmic System.
and they (reversionists) may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
The believer in the Divine Dynasphere will also be delivered from "the destroying pestilence" (2 Sam 24:15; 1 Kin 8:37; 2 Chr 20:9). The plagues, diseases, and Judgments that destroy others will not come near the believer who is protected by the power of God in the Divine Dynasphere.
Psalm 91:4The Lord will protect the believer in the Divine Dynasphere as an eagle protects its chicks under its wings (Psa 17:8; 57:1; 61:4; De 32:11; Ruth 2:12; Mt 23:37). The Divine Dynasphere is a refuge from the cursing of the devil's world.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
The Lord's faithfulness (which may also be translated truth, or doctrine, Psa 40:11; 138:2) is like a "shield and buckler" (Gen 15:1; Psa 35:2). A buckler is a small round shield in contrast to the large, body shield. The Divine Dynasphere is a tactical and strategic shield for the believer.
Psalm 91:5"Fear" is a sin of weakness that destroys the protection of the Divine Dynasphere (Psa 3:6; 27:3; 46:2; 112:7; Isa 41:10; Mt 8:26; Heb 13:6). The Divine Dynasphere protects the believer so that he can sleep at night without fear. "The terror of the night" is anything that causes fear at night. It may be an attack from an enemy soldier, a criminal, a night terror, a bad dream, a demon, or a disaster that strikes at night (Psa 3:5; 2 Ki 7:6; Job 4:13-15; 24:14-16; Pr 3:23-25; Isa 21:4; Lu 12:39).
You will not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nightmares may result from psychological trauma, and night terrors may be caused by demons. Demons may cause night terrors in children at night. Parents should intercede for children who are under such attacks so they can be delivered from evil. Adults are vulnerable to demon attack when they are in the hypnogogic state between wakefulness and sleep. These attacks may be soulish or physical. They must be resisted (Jas 4:7; 1 Pet 5:8-9).1
Psalm 91:6 No Fear of Pestilence or DestructionThe Divine Dynasphere also protects the believer from pestilence in darkness and destruction at noon. Pestilence is associated with darkness. It can't be seen, and it is spread by angels who attack the light frequency in the victim. The spiritual body is a light processor. Angels and demons have the power to spread pestilence in people, animals, and plants by altering light frequencies in the victims. Cancer cells, for example, have a specific frequency.9
Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor the destruction that lays waste at noon.
Destruction at noon is a very bad judgment because the Sun and light are signs of Divine protection. Noon would be the most unlikely time for judgment. Therefore, destruction at noon would be a dire problem. The believer in the Divine Dynasphere will be protected from such destruction (Psa 121:5-6).
Psalm 91:7This is the military metaphor of preservation from overwhelming casualties. The Divine Dynasphere will protect the believer in the worst of battle (Psa 32:6; Gen 7:23; Jos 14:10; Job 5:19-27). By analogy the believer will be preserved in spiritual warfare.
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not come near you.
Psalm 91:8The believer who executes the Spiritual life and resides in the Divine Dynasphere will live to see the Lord destroy his enemies. When the Lord judges the reversionist, the doctrinal believer will be invited to watch (Psa 37:34; 58:10,11; 92:11; Mal 1:5).
You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
Psalm 91:9 Second Voice – Divine Dynasphere"Refuge" is a metaphor for the Lord's protection inside the Divine Dynasphere (Psa 91:1). The "Most High" is the Sovereign Lord. Making the Most High your dwelling place means residing in the Divine Dynasphere under the protection of the Sovereign Lord (Psa 91:1).
For you O LORD are my refuge!
First Voice –
You have made the Most High your dwelling place.
Psalm 91:10 Protected from Evil and PlaguesThe believer inside the Divine Dynasphere is protected from all evil. Evil cannot overpower him because he is protected by God. Satan is helpless to attack a believer in the Divine Dynasphere unless God permits. Furthermore, a plague will not even come near the believer's tent when he is in the Divine Dynasphere. A plague means a blow, corresponding to any judgment whether an attack, a disease, or a natural disaster.
Evil shall not befall you,
And a plague will not come near your tent.
Immunity from evil and plagues is also stated in Proverbs.
Proverbs 12:21"Harm" is the Hebrew /w#a* ('aven), meaning misfortune, adverse circumstances, calamity, trouble. This refers to sorrow that is produced as a result of sin (Prov 22:8, Job 4:8, Isa. 59:4). "Befalls" is the Hebrew hn*a* ('anah), meaning to be caused to meet, i.e. to light upon, to befall, as misfortune.
No harm befalls the Righteous,
But the wicked are filled with trouble.
This verse states the strategic principle that the harm from sin will not win out over the Righteous one. "The Righteous" refers to Salvation plus X-axis alignment of the doctrinal believer. The Righteous one is on God's side, which is the winning team. No harm can come to God or those He protects. This does not mean the Righteous one will never have any problems, but in the long run he will be the victor over anyone and anything that opposes him. For example, there was a time when Elijah was attacked by Jezebel, but in the long run, she was destroyed and Elijah was delivered.
The "wicked," in contrast, are reversionists. They have rejected God, fallen into sin, and have refused to Rebound. Their life is filled with trouble of all kinds. "Trouble" is the Hebrew ur^ (ra`), meaning evil, injury, adversity, or "trouble."
Psalm 91:11 Angels Ordered to Protect UsThe Lord will order His Elect Angels to protect believers in the Divine Dynasphere. "Give charge" is the Hebrew hw*x* (tsavah), meaning to lay charge (upon), give charge (to), charge, command, order. These angels are called Guardian Angels because they guard believers in all their ways. Thus, the believer inside the Divine Dynasphere is protected by both God and Guardian Angels.
For He will give His angels charge over you,
To guard you in all your ways.
Psalm 91:12 Angelic Rescue"Bear up" is the Hebrew ac*n* (nasa'), meaning to lift up and carry. The Guardian Angels will intervene in a crisis and protect the believer from striking his foot against a stone (Prov 3:23). This is a metaphor for protection from being injured. It would apply not only to a fall but to a wreck.
They will bear you up on their hands,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Psalm 91:13Treading upon the lion and the snake is a powerful metaphor of power over Satan and Throne Angels in spiritual warfare (Lk 10:19). The lion symbolizes Satan and a Throne Angel (1 Pet 5:8). The asp and the serpent symbolize Satan (Gen 3:1-14; 2 Cor 11:3; Rev 12:9).
You will tread upon the lion and the asp,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
Psalm 91:14 Divine Voice - Deliverance and PromotionThe Divine voice answers in verses 14-16. The believer in the Divine Dynasphere will be protected because he is bound to the Lord. "Bound" is the Hebrew qv^j* (chashaq), meaning to be attached to; from the Aramaic meaning to bind. Being bound to the Lord signifies Spiritual Rapport inside the Divine Dynasphere. The believer in Spiritual Rapport is on God's side against Satan, and therefore God will deliver him.
"Because he is bound to Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he knows My name."
"I will set him on high" – this is a promise of promotion. The believer in the Divine Dynasphere is Grace Oriented. He depends upon the Lord. Therefore, the Lord will promote him at the proper time.
Psalm 91:15The Lord will answer the prayers of the believer who resides in the Divine Dynasphere. The Lord will preserve him through trouble. The Lord will rescue him from danger. Furthermore, the Lord will honor the one who resides in the Divine Dynasphere. The person will be blessed and not live a second rate existence.
"If he calls upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him, and I will honor him."
Psalm 91:16The believer who resides in the Divine Dynasphere will have a long life of blessing in the Spiritual life. This is not a guarantee of riches and glory in the world.
"With a long life I will satisfy him
And let him delight in My salvation."
"Delight" is the meaning of the Hebrew ha*r* (ra'ah), meaning to gaze at with Happiness. The believer who executes the Spiritual life inside the Divine Dynasphere will delight in the Lord's deliverance throughout his life. He will also enjoy the benefits of his New Spiritual Life after Salvation.
Ephesians 1:19 Divine DynasphereThe power of the Divine Dynasphere in the Church Age Believer is called "the surpassing greatness of His (God's) power." "Power" is the Greek duvnami" (dunamis), which means the power of the Divine Dynasphere; God's inherent power available to the believer. This power is directed "toward us who are believing" – Church Age Believers.
and what is the surpassing greatness of His (God's) power toward us who are believing, according to the operation of His superior (Sovereign) power.
The power is available "according to (or on the basis of) the operation of His superior (Sovereign) power.""Operation" is the Greek ejnevrgeia, (energeia), meaning operation; operational power of the Holy Spirit. "His superior (Sovereign) power" is a Greek translation of a Hebrew idiom composed of the Greek kravto", (kratos), (might) + the Greek ijscuv" (ischus) (strength). The idiom is common to the Septuagint and refers to God's Sovereign power, or omnipotence (Isa 40:26). An interpretive translation would be "superior power" or "Sovereign power."2 The Greek kravto" (kratos) means power which one has or attains; politically, it denotes legal and valid superior power; might; supremacy; "Sovereign power."
The point is that God brings all of His power to bear in the life of the believer through the Divine Dynasphere and everything that surrounds it. God's Sovereign power actively supports the believer in the Divine Dynasphere. Since God's Divine power is designed into Creation, it quietly works without an outward show of force.
Ephesians 1:20 Power Based on ResurrectionGod's Sovereign power "toward us who are believing" was "put into operation by means of Christ" when He was resurrected and seated at the right hand of God. The resurrection of Christ is the basis for the unique Spiritual life of the Church. The resurrected Christ is our King and High Priest. What are we doing in the Divine Dynasphere? The Church has been called out to be Christ's Royal Family and His priesthood. The Church Age Believer has the same Spiritual life that Christ had in Hypostatic Union on Earth. The resurrected Christ not only presides over the individual Divine Dynasphere but also the Divine Dynasphere of the Church.
which (Sovereign power) He (the Father) put into operation by means of Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,
The Divine Dynaspheres over which Christ presides include:
Ephesians 1:21Jesus Christ was seated in His resurrection body over all the angels. "Command, authority, power, and might" are angelic powers corresponding to the hierarchy in Colossians 1:16, except "thrones" is replaced with "power." Furthermore, Jesus Christ has the highest title not only in the Church Age but in the Millennium. Jesus Christ, who has command authority over all angels, including Satan, is the One who directs our Divine Dynasphere.
Above all command, authority, power, and might; and every title that is given, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.
Colossians 1:11"Strengthened by all power" is the Greek verb dunamovw, (dunamoo), meaning to strengthen, plus the Greek duvnami" (dunamis), meaning power. This is God's Sovereign power. All the power of God is available to the Christian inside the Divine Dynasphere. The believer filled with the Holy Spirit is continuously being strengthened on the inside and outside by the power of God.
Strengthened by all power on the basis of His glorious might, resulting in all endurance and long-suffering;
God's power comes "on the basis of His glorious might." "Might" is the Greek kravto" (kratos), which means supreme or superior power, Sovereign power, might. God's might is glorious and spectacular in the Spiritual realm. As the supreme ruler of Creation, God brings all manner of Divine and angelic support to further His Plan in the life of the believer.
"Resulting in all endurance and long-suffering" – This is the result the Christian receives from the power which God pours into him. "Endurance" is the Greek uJpomonhv (hupomone), from (uJpov, under) + (monhv, staying) = patience, endurance, stead-fastness, perseverance, staying power. And "long-suffering" is the Greek makroqumiva (makrothumia), from (makrov", long) + (qumov", passion), meaning forbearance, patience toward others; long-suffering (stability in suffering). Endurance and long-suffering are the resulting production of Divine power which are needed to withstand the pressure of the Cosmic System and the enemies of the Christian life. They correspond to Capacity for Life in the believer as symbolized by the wall of the Divine Dynasphere in the illustration.
The camp of Israel in the wilderness became the Client Nation model. The Lord dwelled in the Tabernacle in the center of the camp, and the twelve tribes camped around it. The Lord appeared as a pillar of fire at night and a cloud by day. The Levitical Priesthood were the Lord's servants on the inside, and the Army of Israel fought the Lord's battles on the outside.
The Lord protected Israel with a wall of fire just as He will do in the Millennium (Zech 2:4, 5). When Jerusalem was built, the city walls became the symbol of the Lord's walls of security around the Client Nation (Isa 26:1; 60:18). Client Nation Israel was protected by a Divine Dynasphere and will be protected by a Divine Dynasphere in the Millennium. Thus, Client Nations are protected by a Divine Dynasphere in the midst of the other nations of the world.
The rise and fall of the Client Nation is associated with the Spiritual life of the people. Blessing comes from obedience to Bible Doctrine, and cursing comes from disobedience. There are cycles of national blessing and cycles of national cursing.3 The Client Nation that obeys Bible Doctrine is protected from its internal and external enemies by the Divine Dynasphere. Disobedience to Bible Doctrine weakens the nation and opens the door to defeat and destruction.
The man has spiritual light, and the woman reflects his glory (1 Cor 11:7). Sin blocks the light and takes the couple into the Cosmic System under the power of Satan just as occurred in the Garden. However, when the man and woman are sanctified through the Filling of the Holy Spirit, they are protected from the Cosmic System just as they were before they sinned in the Garden. The Right Man and Right Woman, filled with the Holy Spirit in the Divine Dynasphere, correspond to the man and woman in the Garden in perfect environment.
After His resurrection, the Church was called out to be the Lord's royal family. Members of the Church are kings (royal family) and priests. They must be trained and tested to fulfill their Divine calling (1 Tim 5:22). The Holy Spirit resides in each believer and provides Spiritual gifts to assist the Body of believes in performing its function (Rom 12:6; 1 Cor 12:1; 2 Tim 1:6). The royal family must be prepared to rule and reign with Christ (2 Tim 2:12), and the priesthood must be prepared to serve Christ and evangelize the world (Matt 16:19; 28:19-20; 1 Pet 2:9).
Sin is by definition that which is contrary to God. Sin is rebellion against God. God will not tolerate sin. It brings conflict with Him. When man sinned, God had to find a way to handle the sin that was compatible with His absolute Righteousness and perfect Justice. The solution was provided by Jesus Christ, who had the Righteousness of God and was able to bear the Judgment of God for the sins. The redemption solution of Jesus Christ satisfied the requirements of God and made it possible for man to receive Salvation and the forgiveness of sins (Eph 1:7; Col 1:14).
Divine punishment is because of sin. Even through man's sins were paid for on the cross, they are not forgiven unless a person accepts the redemption solution through faith in Christ. God punishes sinners because He loves them. God's punishment of the unbeliever is to get him to change his mind about Christ so he can be saved and have his sins forgiven. God's punishment of the believer who is in a state of sin is to get him to Rebound so his sins can be forgiven. When a person's sins are forgiven, he is restored to fellowship with God.
The sinner has chosen to reject the Divine Dynasphere. Divine punishment of the sinner is designed to get him to accept the redemption solution so his sins can be forgiven and he can return to fellowship with God. God punishes people because He loves them and wants them to return to fellowship.
When Divine punishment is not heeded, it may be intensified. The phases of punishment may be classified as (1 Cor 11:30):
God also punishes children, who are born in sin (in the Cosmic System) (Psa 51:5). Children are born into a family, which is a Divine Institution to protect them under a system of parental authority. However, they may be born under curses, such as the Four Generation Curse, the Judgment of Jezebel, or the Curse of Ichabod. Satan and his demons have access to children. So, when they begin to act up, adults must intercede for them. God will honor the prayer to deliver them from evil.
Divine testing is similar to Divine punishment. However, Divine testing differs in that it is designed for blessing. Divine testing may be administered to a person who has done no wrong (1 Pet 3:17). Thus, a person in the Divine Dynasphere may be punished so severely that he is subject to demon attack. That happened to Job. Although Job was enjoying all the prosperity of the Divine Dynasphere, the Lord allowed Satan access to Job to punish him severely (Job 1:10-12; 2:4-7).
God uses Satan and his demons to punish believers. So, Divine punishment may also allow Satan and his demons access to the believer. In other cases Satan is allowed to cross examine witnesses in the Appeal Trial. Satan may tempt or put thoughts in the mind of a believer. If the person falls for Satan's bait, God may punish the person severely. That happened to Paul on the way to Spiritual Maturity (ref. Acts 19:21). Satan suggested that Paul go to Jerusalem. When Paul went to Jerusalem, Satan had set a trap to kill Paul, and Paul wound up in four years of Roman imprisonment.
Divine punishment is a way of life for believers. Through it God demonstrates His love for us and helps us grow up.
Hebrews 12:5Just as our fathers punished us, the Lord punishes believers as sons. The punishment encourages us to continue to advance in the Spiritual life and not give up (Psa 77; Rom 3:9-18; Heb 12:12; Jas 4:8-10; Rev 3:19-20).
And so, you have forgotten the doctrinal principle of encouragement which teaches you as sons: My son, stop despising the punishment of the Lord; and stop fainting when you are being punished by Him;
"Stop despising the punishment" means to stop being bitter due to the punishment. Bitterness is a sin. The bitter person fails to profit from the punishment. He misses the point. And bitterness knocks out love and drags the soul into depression (Blackout of the Soul). Bitterness is outside the control limits of the Divine Dynasphere in legalism.
"Stop fainting" is a command to avoid reacting to the punishment with fear, worry, or Emotional Revolt of the Soul (ERS). Fainting implies that the person passes out, but it can also include anxiety and pride that drive a person out of control (e.g. manic moods or anxiety disorders). Another example would be a person who goes on a Frantic Search for Happiness to avoid the problem.
Divine punishment only works when it is endured with staying power. Those who reject the punishment, reject the Divine solution. Riding out the punishment may require Rebound and deployment of Problem Solving Devices. It certainly requires application of doctrine to the pressures of life. Those who reject the punishment or run away in a Frantic Search for Happiness, will miss out on the Divine solution. They will fall into reversionism and not advance in the Spiritual life.
Divine punishment may result in weakness, infirmity, enemy attack, and even demon attacks. These however are the symptoms of the punishment – not the problem the Lord is trying to correct. Treating the symptom will not solve the problem. Only the Divine solution will solve the problem. The Divine solution is the only solution. The human solution is no solution.
For example, when a person is under demon attack, it is God who allowed the demon attack as a part of Divine punishment. To get rid of the demon is not the issue.1 The demon is a symptom. Getting rid of the symptom will not solve the problem. Those who think that Satan is responsible for their predicament are wrong. God is responsible, and Satan is merely a symptom. The devil may be after them, but it is because of Divine punishment. The false teachers who are trying to cast out demons don't realize that the demon is only a symptom. Even if they cast him out, he will be back, and the victim will be deprived of the Divine solution.
Hebrews 12:6The Lord punishes us because He loves us. He punishes us severely like a father who flogs his son. Just as a child hurts when he is flogged, the believer will also feel the pain and anguish from the Lord's punishment. The punishment may even involve attacks by Satan and his demons. They hate Christians and cause some bitter punishment.
For you see whom the Lord loves He punishes,
And He flogs every son whom He receives (with love).
However, the Lord punishes us because He loves us as members of the family. He punishes us as sons "whom He receives (with love)." "With love" is implied from the Greek syntax. Whereas, the punishment hurts at the time, later we will appreciate it. Residence in the Divine Dynasphere does not mean freedom from Divine punishment.
Cosmic System Counterattacks
Slavery to Satan
Captives of Satan
Balaam
Paul
Shipwreck
It is Satan's Cosmic System that opposes God's Divine Dynasphere. Satan is out to prove that he can rule Creation as well as the Lord Jesus Christ (Isa 14:13-14). In the Appeal Trial Satan is not fighting God directly. He can only win the trial by getting mankind to do his bidding as he did with the woman and man in the Garden. Satan seeks to conquer and enslave all men and take them to Hell. On the other hand, God is demonstrating His Righteousness by giving mankind an opportunity to be saved, have Eternal Life, and go to Heaven. God condemns the followers of Satan to eternal fire and rewards believers in Christ with Eternal Life.
Although he has great power as the super creature ruler of the world, Satan does not rule with a free hand. He is constrained by the Justice of God, who administers a fair trial. In God's Plan although men are born into sin, they are given a fair opportunity to be saved. If they choose to believe in Christ, they can have their sins forgiven and become sons in the Royal Family of God. The laws of Divine Establishment protect the freedom of man in the devil's world.5
Since sin is contrary to His essence, God punishes mankind for living in a state of sin.8 God uses Satan's Cosmic System to test and punish man. When the Justice of God meets the Cosmic System, the Cosmic System is divided into three parts, Cosmic, Political, and Ecumenical Babylon. In order to be free from Satan's power, the believer in Christ must overcome the Cosmic System attack.

1 | Ecumenical Babylon | Land, ears | Throat, Solar Plexus (stomach, pancreas, liver) | Lies, false doctrine, metabolism, immunity |
2 | Political Babylon | Sea, belly | Womb/Belly, Genitals | Depression, melancholy, worry disorders, BOS |
3 | Cosmic Babylon | Air, head | Lungs, heart | Arrogance, pretension, stress, anxiety (manic) disorders; cramps, H/H |
The Edification Complex of the Soul (ECS) must be erected to overcome the attack from Cosmic, Political, and Ecumenical Babylon. If Faith is not used to neutralize the attacks, physical and psychological infirmities may result. Spiritual Growth is required to overcome the attacks (1 Jn 2:13, 14). The believer will learn to deal with these attacks in Spiritual Warfare on the way to Spiritual Maturity. After Spiritual Maturity on the way to Spiritual Rapport, he will learn to deal with direct attacks from Satan and his demons as Job did.
Ephesians 2:1Before Salvation we were spiritually dead. "Transgressions" is the Greek paravptwma, from (parav, beside) + (ptw~ma, that which has fallen, corpse), meaning transgression. This includes Adam's Original Sin, which is imputed at birth (Psa 51:5). And "sins" refer to personal sins.
And although you were dead in transgressions and in your sins,
Ephesians 2:2 Satan's Power Over ManAs unbelievers we were spiritually dead. We operated according to the lifestyle of this world in legalism and lawlessness. "World" is the Cosmic System of Satan. Satan is the "ruler of the air." "Air" refers to the atmosphere, which corresponds to the spiritual realm of Satan.
In which sphere (real spiritual death), you formerly walked according to the lifestyle of this world according to the powerful ruler of the air, the spirit that is now operating in the sons of disobedience.
Satan is a transliteration of the Hebrew /t^s* (Satan), meaning enemy, adversary. Devil is the Greek diavbolo" (diabolos), meaning slanderer, vituperator, traducer (Jn 8:44).
Satan operates in the sons of disobedience. Satan and his demons (spirits) operate in unbelievers and influence carnal believers. The outside influence of Satan and the world meet the desires of the Old Sin Nature in the soul of the believer (Rom 6:6; Eph 6:12). "The sons of disobedience" are unbelievers who are destined for eternal condemnation (Eph 5:6).
Ephesians 2:3 Former Children of WrathAs unbelievers we behaved based on the lusts of our "flesh" (OSN). The OSN is located in the body. We were motivated by the OSN. It influenced the thinking of our soul.
Among whom we also all formerly behaved in the lusts of our flesh indulging the desires of the flesh and the thinking and were, by nature, children of wrath, even as the rest.
We were "by nature" means in our natural condition as children of Adam. "Children of wrath" refers to unbelievers, who are destined to eternal fire (Eph 5:6; Rom 1:18; Col 3:6). "Even as the rest" means we were like the other unbelievers.
The reversionist is the slave of Satan. A reversionist can get out of slavery to Satan if he will Rebound and respond to the teaching of Bible Doctrine by the pastor-teacher.
2 Timothy 2:25 Pastor Teaching the ReversionistThe pastor must teach "with humility." "Humility" is the Greek prauvth" (prautes), which means humility (Gal 5:23; Jas 1:21; 3:13) or thoughtfulness of others (Col 3:12). "Humility" means the pastor must be under God's authority. He disciplines by teaching the truth. "Those in opposition" are reversionists and apostates.
With humility disciplining those in opposition (reversionists), so that God may grant them a change of mind for understanding Bible Doctrine (Truth),
"Change of mind" is the Greek metavnoia (metanoia), meaning a change of mind. This refers to Rebound. Changing the mind gets one out from under the power and the spell of Satan. Rebound enables a person to understand Bible Doctrine when it is taught by the pastor-teacher.
2 Timothy 2:26"Come to their senses" is the Greek a*nanhvfw (ananepho), from (a*na, up) + (nhvfw, be sober) = become sober; come to one's senses. If the reversionist will Rebound and listen to the teaching of Bible Doctrine, he can begin to think rationally about the Spiritual life and escape the snare of the devil. Snares are traps that Satan sets to capture people. There are many different kinds of snares.
and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
"Held captive by him to do his will" – this means that Satan takes believers captive and uses them to do his will. This is accomplished through demon influence, not possession. For example, Satan motivated Judas Iscariot to do his will (John 13:27).
Another snare of the devil that is widely practiced is sophistry. The weapons of Spiritual Warfare are Divinely powerful inside the Divine Dynasphere to destroy sophistries (2 Cor 10:4).
2 Corinthians 10:5Here the Greek logismov" (logismos) means reasoning, reflection, thought; "sophistries." Sophistry is a deliberately invalid argument displaying ingenuity in reasoning in the hope of deceiving someone; fallacious reasoning; reasoning sound in appearance only. Sophists in Greece taught rhetoric like the philosophers, who espoused a love for wisdom. However, the sophists were more concerned with results than with reason and truth. They used deception.
Destroying fallacious reasonings (sophistries) and every high thing (arrogant pretension) that rises up against the knowledge of God, and capturing every thought in obedience to (under the authority of) Christ.
Examples of sophistry:
"Every high thing (arrogant pretension)" – these high-minded, arrogant ideas are also evidence of Satan. He enslaves and controls people through their arrogant pretension. These thoughts rise up "against the knowledge of God." They are sins that are contrary to God and His Word. Arrogant thoughts drive the manic mood swings of anxiety, and worry and bitterness drive the mood swings of depression and Blackout of the Soul.
The thinking of the believer must be brought into harmony with Christ. This is Spiritual Rapport in contrast to slavery to Satan.
Colossians 2:8The Christian must be alert and watch out for those who can take him captive. False teachers and politicians can take him captive. Taking captive means slavery to the Cosmic System as well as the false teacher. The false teacher lures the believer from the Divine Dynasphere into the Cosmic System.
Watch out lest there be anyone who takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
"Philosophy" refers to academic wisdom that is without Spiritual value, non-doctrinal, and non-scriptural. Religious philosophy is not acceptable for Spiritual growth. It is not sound doctrine.
"Empty deceit" refers to false teaching and methods that capture attention, lure, or entertain, but are without doctrinal truth.
"According to the tradition of men" refers to the teachings of men that have no basis in scripture. They may be intriguing, but they have no Spiritual value.
"Elementary principles of the world" refer to scientific methods of the day which were based on worldly or Satanic concepts, such as use of five elements (earth, air, fire, water, metal) or Babylonian astrology to understand Creation and historical events. Use of definitions and principles not founded in scripture amounts to divination.
"Not according to Christ" – doctrine that is not Christ centered must be rejected. "Christ" in Hypostatic Union is the head, ruler, over all Creation. "Christ" refers to the Mystery Doctrine of the Church Age and living the New Spiritual life. The Mystery Doctrine of the Church is found in the twenty-one epistles to the Church. This leaves out Judaism and religions in which Christ is not the Savior.
Job was a mature believer, who served the Lord faithfully. He was enjoying the prosperity of the Divine Dynasphere when the Lord gave him into the hands of Satan (Job 1:12; 2:6). Satan destroyed all that Job had, including his family, his property, and his marriage. He also cursed Job's health and gave him debilitating illness. The Lord permitted all this to test Job for promotion to Spiritual Rapport.
Samson was tempted by Delilah, who was under the power of Satan as the Prostitute of Babylon (Judg 16:4). She convinced him to disobey God and cut his hair. Samson lost the Enduement of the Holy Spirit in the Divine Dynasphere and became Satan's captive in the Cosmic System. In his weakened condition, he was captured by the Philistines.
Before the Flood Satan was able to convince almost the entire human race to serve him. Only Noah and his family (eight people) trusted the Lord for Salvation (1 Pet 3:20). After the Flood Satan tempted Noah to get drunk and then enticed his son Ham to commit homosexual incest with him (Gen 9:21, 22).
The Lord, however, strictly forbad Balaam from cursing Israel (Nu 22:12). Cursing is associated with legalism, which corresponds to Satan's attack from the Evil King (Balak) on the left side of the Divine Dynasphere. On the trip to Moab, the Angel of the Lord (preincarnate Christ) even reprimanded Balaam by speaking through his donkey. Balaam obeyed the Lord and did not curse Israel. Instead he blessed Israel and prophesied.
After passing this test, Balaam later counseled Balak to lure Israel into idolatry. This was lawlessness and slavery to Satan on the right side of the Divine Dynasphere. Balaam did not go home, but remained behind with the Midianites, who lived East of Moab. He came up with a new way to earn his fee. He counseled Balak to send Midianite and Moabite girls into the camp of Israel to lure them into idolatrous worship of Baal Peor (Rev 2:14). This involved practicing ritual prostitution under the power of Satan as the Prostitute of Babylon.
The Lord punished Israel with a plague and 24,000 died in one day (Nu 25:9). Then Moses invaded Midian, and Balaam was killed in the invasion (Num 31:8, 16).
Balaam was a reversionist whom Satan took captive and used to try to keep Israel from entering the Promised Land. Balaam's scar tissue of the soul included:
2 Peter 2:14 Adultery and Insatiable LustThis verse is describing the sins of false teachers and reversionists like Balaam (2 Pet 2:1). "Eyes full of adultery" is slavery to Satan under the Prostitute of Babylon. "Unceasing from sin" means they are chain sinners. They do not Rebound. "Enticing unstable souls" means they lure weak people into Satan's trap (2 Tim 3:6; Jas 1:14).
Having eyes full of adultery and unceasing from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in insatiable lust, accursed children.
Their heart is trained in "insatiable lust," which is the Greek pleonexiva (pleonexia), meaning greediness, insatiableness (Eph 4:19; 2 Pet 2:3). In reversionism the heart develops more capacity for evil. The heart is used to fully produce insatiable lust.
These reversionists are called "accursed children." They were like children, who are immature and under the power of Satan. Children are cursed under the Curse of Baal or Jezebel (1 Ki 21:23; 2 Ki 9:34-37; Rev 2:20-23). Israel was cursed under the Cycles of National Cursing for rejecting Bible Doctrine and falling into idolatry (Is 65:15; Jer 18:16; 24:9; 26:6; 29:18; 42:18; 44:12; Mal 2:2).
2 Peter 2:15 Monetary Reversionism of Balaam"Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray." This is the definition of reversionism. It was the way of Balaam. Satan took Balaam captive through the love of money (Deut 23:4; Jude 1:11; Rev 2:14; Num 25:1-3; 31:16).
forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
2 Peter 2:16Balaam receive a dramatic rebuke for his lawlessness. His donkey spoke to him in the language of a man. The Angel of the Lord spoke to him through the donkey. A donkey symbolizes irrationality and phallic reversionism (Ezek 23:19-20).
but he received a rebuke for his own lawlessness, for a mute donkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the insanity of the prophet.
The episode with the donkey was to make an issue out of Balaam's mission to curse Israel. He is called insane. "Insanity" is the Greek parafroniva (paraphronia), from (parav, beside) + (froniva, thinking) = insanity; dissociation. This word describes the spiritual irrationality of Balaam in reversionism. He was full of the love of money and fat-headed arrogance.
2 Peter 2:17"These are springs without water" – teachers are supposed to be springs, sources of water (the Word), but false teachers have no water.
These are springs without water, and mists driven by the storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved.
"Mists driven by the storm" – storms and tornadoes are Divine punishment, and false teachers are a curse.
"For whom the black darkness has been reserved" – "Black darkness" refers to: A comet in deep, dark space when it is not near the Sun and to the last Judgment (Jud 1:13). These reversionists will be separated from God so far that the light will not reach them – like Black Holes.
2 Peter 2:18"Bellowing" is the Greek fqevggomai (phthengomai), meaning to speak; call out loudly; "bellow." It is the loud speaking of the reversionist due to illusions of self-righteous arrogance. It is the same word for the bellowing of Balaam's donkey.
For you see, bellowing bombastic words of vanity, they entice by lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who barely escape from those who live in error.
"Bombastic" is the Greek uJpevrogko" (huperogkos), from (uJpevr, over) + (o!gko", weight, bulk) = puffed up; haughty, arrogant, bombastic. And "vanity" is the Greek mataiovth" (mataiotes), meaning vacuum, vanity. It refers to the emptiness and nothingness of worthless words that are non-spiritual, such as human good. False teachers may be emotional, but their words are worthless.
Reversionists entice others with "lusts of the flesh" (OSN) and licentiousness, which is a sin. They lure the naïve into the Cosmic System. The naïve, or immature believers, are "those who barely escape from those who live in error." They have barely escaped from slavery to the Cosmic System where their false teachers reside.
2 Peter 2:19False teachers (2 Pet 2:1-3) promise Spiritual freedom, but they are "slaves of corruption." "Corruption" refers to sin that produces spiritual death and leads to physical decay and death. "Slaves of corruption" are slaves of sin that destroys (Jn 8:34; Rom 6:14-23).
promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a person is overcome, by this he is enslaved.
"For by what a person is overcome, by this he is enslaved." This is the principle of being defeated and taken captive in battle. By application, it is being defeated by sin and losing Spiritual freedom. Three levels of slavery are waiting to enslave – slavery to:
2 Peter 2:20 Doom of the Reversionist"Defilements" are the corruption that results from sin. Defilements include:
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the epignosis-knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
"The epignosis-knowledge" of Jesus Christ refers to Salvation. The Greek ejpivgnwsi" (epignosis) means to know fully; understand. It refers to Spiritual understanding, which is over, or beyond, knowledge. Escaping defilements of the world at Salvation refers to Positional Sanctification, which is entering into union with Christ in Heaven.
"They are again entangled in them and are overcome." The reversionist is again entangled in the defilements of the world. The reversionist rejects Rebound, falls into sin, and is entangled by the defilements of the world. "And are overcome" means he is enslaved to the defilements.
"The last state has become worse for them than the first." "The last state" is reversionism. "The first" is before Salvation (Eph 2:1-3) when the person was in sin in the Cosmic System, but he was naïve or ignorant. His punishment as an unbeliever was to get him to wake up to Salvation. The reversionistic believer, however, receives more intensive punishment because:
Acts 19:21 Paul's Idea to Go to JerusalemPaul was engaged in strategic planning about the course of his life. Where should he go next? "Paul presumed in spirit to go to Jerusalem." "In spirit" does not mean in the Holy Spirit or even in his human spirit. It was more of an inspiration. Paul was inspired to go to Jerusalem.
Now after these things were finished, Paul presumed in spirit to go to Jerusalem after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome."
It was Satan who gave Paul the idea to go to Jerusalem. The idea came at a strategic juncture in Paul's life. Paul had not yet reached Spiritual Maturity, but he was on his way and had qualified to receive the testing for promotion to Spiritual Maturity. Satan knew this, and God knew it. Satan wanted to prevent Paul from ever reaching maturity, and God was willing to let Paul suffer at the hands of Satan as testing for Spiritual Maturity. This is how the Sovereign Design of God and the evil intentions of Satan combine to fulfill the Plan of God.
Paul knew better than to violate the geographical will of God. He surely waited for guidance from the Holy Spirit. However, God did not tell Paul not to go to Jerusalem. Paul decided he would go through Macedonia and then to Achaia (the region of Corinth in Greece). Then he would go back to Jerusalem. And then he would go to Rome. He should have gone to Rome and never returned to Jerusalem. It was God's will for Paul to be the pastor in Rome.
Shortly thereafter Satan used Demetrius, head of the silversmith union in Ephesus, to start a riot against Paul and the Christian way (Acts 19:23-25). The silversmiths made their living by making shrines for the goddess Artemis, who was regarded as an idol by Paul and the Christians (Acts 19:26, 27). Paul's life was in danger, and he was forced to flee Ephesus.
Paul proceeded through Macedonia and into Achaia. He spent three months in Greece. Then as he prepared to sail for Syria on his way to Jerusalem, the Judaizers formed a conspiracy against him, and he decided to go back through Macedonia before catching a ship to go to Jerusalem (Acts 20:3).
Paul intended to go to Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost and offer a vow in the Temple. Now Paul knew this was contrary to sound doctrine, but he was becoming subjective in his thinking. He wanted to get back home and see James and Peter. As he proceeded, the Holy Spirit continued to warn him that he was headed into suffering.
Acts 20:22-23 Warning from Holy SpiritGod did not tell Paul not to go to Jerusalem, but He did warn Paul of the danger that awaited him. This was the permissive will of God. Satan was leading Paul to Jerusalem to form a conspiracy against him and kill him.
22 And now, behold, having been chained by the agency of the Holy Spirit, I (Paul) am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
23 except that the Holy Spirit has already warned me, saying that chains and stress wait for me in every city.
On the trip to Jerusalem Paul was warned by people:
On the way to Rome, he was shipwrecked on Malta. Shipwreck is a symbol of doom. The Lord sent Paul into a storm and wrecked his ship. However, He preserved Paul through the crisis. On Malta Paul was bitten by a viper. A snake is a symbol of Satan. This was Satan's attempt to kill Paul. However, the Lord preserved Paul from the snake bite, and Paul shook off the viper into a fire.
Paul was kept under house arrest in Rome for two more years until his case was heard. Then he was promoted to Spiritual Maturity and released.
Paul wrote to Timothy about those who suffer shipwreck in their faith.
1 Timothy 1:18Timothy was reminded of the charge given him in his prophetic ordination ceremony. He was told to "fight the Good fight." Fighting the Good fight means to engage in Spiritual Warfare on God's side. Good refers to Divine Good.
This command I deposit with you, student Timothy, in accordance with prophecies previously laid upon you (his charge at his ordination), that by them you fight the Good fight,
1 Timothy 1:19"Keeping the Faith" means executing the Spiritual life and holding to sound doctrine. "A Good conscience" is one that is transformed with norms and standards of Bible Doctrine. "Which some have rejected" refers to apostates and reversionists.
keeping the Faith and a Good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck with regards to their doctrine
"Suffered shipwreck" means their life is a disaster, a strategic failure (Acts 27:41-44). They have failed to execute the Spiritual life and obey Bible Doctrine. They are doomed to die the Sin Leading to Death as captives of Satan.
1 Timothy 1:20Paul was delivering Hymenaeus and Alexander over to Satan to administer the Sin Leading to Death. These men were believers who opposed Paul's ministry. Satan punishes believers in the Cosmic System.
Among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they may be taught not to blaspheme.
