The Year 2015

January 1 (Day 1, Unity):  The meaning of the year 2015 is a covering.  The meaning is derived from the Flood in which water covered the Earth 15 cubits deep (Gen 7:19-20).  A covering handles a problem by covering it up.  When the man and woman sinned in the Garden, they realized they were naked and tried to make loin coverings of fig leaves to cover themselves (Gen 3:7).  The Lord made clothes (coverings) for them of animal skins to protect their privacy (Gen 3:21).  When Israel fled from Pharaoh through the Red Sea, the waters returned and covered Pharaoh's Army, and his entire army perished (Ex 14:28; 15:10; Deut 11:4; Neh 9:11; Ps 78:53; 106:9-11).

The concept of covering is a metaphor for handling a problem.  When man sinned, God covered his sins (Psa 32:1; 85:3; Rom 4:7).  He covered man's sins by putting them out of sight.  Then at the right time in history He judged them and provided the Redemption solution (Rom 3:25; 5:6).

ArkWhen the Tabernacle was built, God covered it with a cloud to indicate His presence (Ex 40:34; Nu 9:15-22).  The most famous covering was the lid that covered the Ark of the Covenant, called the Mercy Seat (Ex 25:17).  The Mercy Seat symbolized the Throne of God in Heaven.  The Mercy Seat was covered by the wings of cherubim (Ex 37:9).  Blood from the Brazen Altar placed on the Mercy Seat on the Day of Atonement symbolized the atonement of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world (Heb 10:12).  Atonement is from the Hebrew rp^k* (kapar), Pi'el rP#k! (kipper), meaning to cover over, atone for, propitiate, forgive (Ex 30:15; 32:30).  God covered (atoned for) sins by placing them on the Mercy Seat (place of propitiation), and that Mercy Seat was Jesus Christ (Rom 3:25; Heb 2:17; 1 Jn 2:2; 4:10).  The year 2015 begins with the Red Planet in Capricornus, which symbolizes atonement.

Since the soul-life of animals is in the blood, the blood of animals that were slaughtered was poured in the ground and covered over with dirt (Lev 17:13; Deut 12:16).  Dead bodies are buried or placed in tombs as coverings (Gen 15:15; 23:4-19).

The color for a covering is indigo.2  Indigo is the color for hiding, secrets, and eclipses.  Satan was the covering angel in the Throne Room who hovered over, or overshadowed, the room and the other angels (Ezek 28:14).

Fingernails and toenails are coverings, which indicate health and well-being of the body.  Fingernails symbolize coverings of the emotion.

Spiritual BodyA covering is associated with the Throat pressure point in the spiritual body and the God of the Covenants Planet.3  The throat is associated with swallowing, eating, swearing (covenants and lies), dying (Isa 5:14; 14:9, 11), and the thyroid gland.  The God of the Covenants is associated with covenants, contracts, and law.  Those who have entered into a contract are bound, or covered, by it.  The symbol of a covenant is a ring.

The environment covers the Earth, like the Garden that God planted in Eden (Gen 2:8).  Clouds cover the sky (Psa 147:8).  There are ten layers of clouds with pictures painted by the angels as revealed by the weather satellites.  Stars, planets, and galaxies cover the heavens (Gen 1:14-18).  The Moon will be covered with blood in the Tribulation (Acts 2:20) and during the last two Tetrad Eclipses later this year.  And God covers Heaven and all of Creation (Psa 47:8; 103:19).

Salvation clothes the soul with a robe of Righteousness (Job 29:14; Psa 132:9; Isa 61:10).  The robe of Righteousness is part of the Edification Complex of the Soul (ECS).  Just as clothes cover the body, the Edification Complex covers the soul (Eph 4:24; Col 3:10-16; Rev 3:4, 18).  Erecting the ECS is also referred to as being clothed with Christ since He is at home in the ECS (Rom 13:14; Gal 3:27).  The soul without an ECS is naked (Rev 3:17; 16:15).  Hardness of the Heart covers the soul and blocks the Light from God (Isa 25:7; 2 Cor 3:15; Eph 4:18).  Clothing of humility is respect for Divine Authority and Grace Orientation (1 Pet 5:5).

Light clothes the spiritual body (Rom 13:12; Eph 6:11-17; Col 3:12; 1 Thess 5:8; 1 Pet 1:8).  Sin in the physical body interferes with the Light in the pressure points of the spiritual body.  The thinking of the ECS is reflected in the pressure points of the spiritual body.

The Resurrection Body will clothe the believer in Heaven (2 Cor 5:2-3; Rev 3:5; 19:8).

God Covers All

God covers all of Creation.  He designed it, and He is Sovereign over all.  Nothing happens that was not ordained by Him.  He is the potter, who makes some pots for Good and others for evil (Rom 9:21; 2 Tim 2:20-21).  He hovers over us like an eagle on the wing protecting its young (Psa 91:4; Is 51:16) or a bird that is brooding (Gen 1:2; Lk 13:34).

God's Creation is perfect.  Every aspect of our life is perfect.  The environment perfectly matches the characters on the Stage of Life, and the scenes are perfectly produced.  Lies are told as lies, and truth as truth.  Light is light and darkness is dark.  The ignorance of man does not mar the Truth of God.  Man's problems are not God's fault.

Nothing exists that is outside of God's control.  Noting happens by accident.  The world is deterministic based upon God's Sovereign Design that is over all and in all.

The Lord Jesus Christ Rules

The Lord Jesus Christ rules over all Creation from His Throne of Grace, which is symbolized by the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Covenant.  Jesus Christ paid for man's sins and satisfied the Righteousness and Justice of God on the cross.  He was promoted to rule over mankind and all Creation by God the Father (Heb 1:13; 12:2).

Jesus Christ rules, covers, and schedules every aspect of daily life on Earth and in Heaven among man and angels.  He is the matchmaker of Right Man and Right Woman.  He decides the time to be born, and the time to die.  He sends the rain, grows the crops, and feeds the sheep.  He blesses and curses.  He gives victory and orders defeat.  He Judges and frees.  He oversees everything.  Nothing escapes His notice.  He cooks, He sews, He mends, He rends under our nose.

Jesus Christ is alive in Resurrection Body.  He reveals Himself to those who believe in Him.  He meets the believer at Salvation, reveals Himself through Bible Doctrine, and has fellowship with believers in Spiritual Rapport.

Covering in Marriage

In Marriage the husband covers the wife with authority.  The woman's hair is her covering (1 Cor 11:15).  Her hair covers her head to symbolize her submission to the authority of her husband (1 Cor 11:6).  She has freedom when she is under the authority of her husband.  Similarly, she has Spiritual freedom when she is under the authority of the Lord (Eph 5:22; Jn 8:36; Rom 8:2).

The husband should not have long hair because he is the symbol of authority (1 Cor 11:7).  The wife should have long hair, but not the husband.  A man who wears a hat at the table is an arrogant ass, but a woman may wear a hat because she is under authority.  Furthermore, in Marriage the wife is covered with the Light of the husband.  She is his reflected glory.  She goes where he goes and supports him, but there can only be one head in Marriage.

The husband covers his wife with his robe (Ruth 3:9).  Sleeping under the same cover is an invitation to sex in Marriage.  Uncovering the feet is a symbol for having sex (Ruth 3:4, 7-8; Jer 2:25).

A woman who is not under authority is a disgrace to the human race, but a man who would abuse her is a tyrant.

Covering Nakedness and Shame

After man sinned, the root of his guilt and shame was associated with his genitals.  He needed to cover up his shortcoming in order to get on with his life.  He therefore wore clothes, or garments, to cover his nakedness (Gen 9:23, Ex 28:42; Judg 4:19; Job 24:7; Is 58:7; Ezek 16:8, 10; 18:7, 16; 23:29; Ho 2:10; Jon 3:6).

Although it is not a sin, exposing the nakedness causes shame.  Thus, a person can be covered with shame (Job 8:22; Psa 44:15; 69:8; Jer 51:51; Ob 1:10; Mic 7:10).  A person can also be covered with bitterness, which is symbolized by having a chamber pot emptied  on him (Heb 12:15).  Bitterness is a sin that destroys love and pollutes others (Eph 4:31; Col 3:19).  Love covers sins and allows people to tolerate others  (Pr 10:12; 17:9; Jas 5:20; 1 Pet 4:8).

Covering of Light and Darkness

When the nation of Israel left Egypt, God covered the camp of Israel with a cloud.  The Egyptians could not see through the cloud at night (Ex 14:19-20).  The cloud covered the camp of Israel through the wilderness wanderings (Ex 40:36-38).  The cloud covered the Tabernacle by day, and a pillar of fire covered it by night (Nu 9:15-17).

God's Kingdom is full of Spiritual Light, and Satan's Kingdom is full of spiritual darkness (Acts 26:18; Col 1:12-13; 1 Pet 2:9).  Believers walk in the Light and unbelievers in darkness (Jn 12:36; 1 Thess 5:5; 1 Jn 1:6-7).

Covering of the Prostitute of Babylon

In the ancient world people often sat in the shade of trees.  A luxurious green tree became the symbol of a phallic reversionist (Psa 37:35).  The Prostitute of Babylon is a woman who is the consort of demons.  She engaged in ritual prostitution of idolatry under green trees (Deut 12:2; Jer 2:20; 3:6, 13).  The Prostitute of Babylon is covered with demons from the Cosmic System.

Conclusion

The meaning of the year 2015 is a covering.  There are many types of coverings.  The coverings of fig leaves that the man and woman made in the Garden were human good.  Man was unable to solve the problem of sin that he created.  However, the Lord Jesus Christ solved it by paying for sins on the cross.  The sacrifice of Jesus Christ was like the sacrifice of the Passover lamb on the 14th day of the first month.  The blood of the lamb was poured out on the Brazen Altar to symbolize Salvation.  The next day, the 15th, corresponded to Positional Sanctification based on the blood sprinkled on the Mercy Seat that propitiated God the Father (Lev 23:5-8; Rom 3:25; 1 Jn 2:2).

There are many types of coverings.  Clothes cover the body.  The environment covers the land, and the clouds cover the sky.  However, God's covering is superior.  It handles the problem, no matter how great.  The covering of the eye of the Sun by a cloud is a sign that God has handled the problem.

So, just as 2014 was a year of Passover Judgment, the year 2015 will be a year of God's covering.  The Divine solution will reign supreme, and Satan will be crushed under foot (Rom 16:20).  The Lord Jesus Christ will rule from the Throne of Grace in Heaven to render vengeance upon His enemies and make them a footstool for His feet (Rom 12:19; Heb 10:30, 12-13).
