Overview of the Last World War
Battles
Fulfillment of Prophecy
Reaping Analogy
One of the symbolic predictions of the Armageddon War
was the reaping analogy. Just as grain or grapes are reaped at harvest
time, similarly the enemies of Israel would be reaped by the Lord in the
final war of human history (Revelation
14:14-20). In the Battle of Armageddon in the Valley of
Jezreel (ref. photo), blood would run up to the horses bridles for 1600
stadia, which is 183 miles (295 km).
Evil Three
And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the Beast and out of the mouth of the False Prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; (Revelation 16:13)The Armageddon War will involve three evil ones. The dragon is Satan (Revelation 12:7-9). A dragon is a large snake. The Beast is the Evil King of the Revived Roman Empire. He was symbolized as coming out of the sea (Revelation 13:1-2), where the sea represents the Gentile nations, or Political Babylon. The False Prophet is the Evil King of Israel, who does as he pleases (Daniel 11:36-40) and has the dual office of prophet (Revelation 13:11-18). He came up out of the land, which symbolizes Ecumenical Babylon. He will perform great signs and miracles and tries to get people to worship the Beast. The evil three represent:
for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. (Revelation 16:14, NAS)The demons will go out and convince all the Evil Kings of the world to come to the Armageddon War. Those who will come include the King of the North from Russia, the King of the West (the Beast of the Revived Roman Empire), the King of the South (Pan-Arabic block), and the Kings of the East from China.
And concentrated them in the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16)
The King of the North from the region of Russia will head to Africa. His army will move rapidly through Israel leaving only a holding force to keep the supply lines open (Daniel 11:40). His navy will move from the Black Sea through the Bosporus and into the Mediterranean to supply the army on its way to Africa. The Army will advance into Libya and south to Ethiopia.
The King of the West (Revived Roman Empire) will seize
the opportunity and defeat the navy of the King of the North in a great
naval battle in the Mediterranean. The Kings of the East will head
toward Israel. The King of the North will be alarmed because his
supply lines are vulnerable to the Kings of the West and East. The
Pan-Arabic block will recognize an opportunity to pick up on the spoils
of Israel and also head north (Daniel 11:40).
In the middle of the Tribulation, many of the smart Jews
will flee to the mountains of Edom (Matt
24:15-28; Mark 13:14-23; Luke 21:20-23). There will be
fierce battles to dislodge these Jews in the mountains of Edom (ref. photo
of Bozrah, Edom).
The King of the North will return to Jerusalem with the intention of conquering it. However, the Jews of Jerusalem with Bible Doctrine will fight heroically. Their battle plan will be to allow themselves to be surrounded, and then suddenly spring into action and wipe out their opponents. Two-thirds of Jerusalem will be captured, but a great earthquake will split the city and open a passage from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean. Those trapped in Jerusalem will be able to escape through the valley formed by the earthquake.
The King of the West will make an amphibious landing on
Israel's west coast and march down the Jezreel Valley on the way to Jerusalem.
However, his army will converge there with the King of the North and the
Kings of the East. The last great battle will be fought near the
hill of Megiddo, called Armageddon.
The Lord Jesus Christ will return with the Church (Revelation
19:11-16) and land on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah
14:4). The Kidron Valley and the Mt. of Olives is shown in
the photo. He will personally destroy all the enemies of Israel with
the sword of His mouth (Revelation 19:15, 21).
He will destroy the Army of the King of the North (Joel
3:1-17; Zech 12:2-14:21). Note: The northern Kidron
Valley is the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2, 12). The Lord will
proceed to destroy the army fighting the Jews in Edom (Isa
34:6; 63:1-6; Jer 49:13; Amos 1:11-12). Note: Bazrah
was the metropolis of northern Edom near the current Buseireh. And
the Lord will destroy the armies gathered at Armageddon (Revelation
19:17-21). The Beast (Evil King of the West) and the False
Prophet will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. And Satan will be incarcerated
in the Abyss for a thousand years (Revelation
20:1-3).
The end of the Beast (Evil King of the West) and the False Prophet along with the incarceration of Satan, mark the final doom of Babylon the Great. The Judgment of these three represent the Judgment of Ecumenical (False Prophet), Political (Beast), and Cosmic (Satan) Babylon. The Judgment of the Evil Three will follow the three major battles in the Armageddon War, which also represent the destruction of Ecumenical (Edom), Political (Jerusalem), and Cosmic (Armageddon) Babylon. This will be a classic example of Spiritual Warfare.
The human rulers of Satan's kingdom of Babylon are the Evil King and the Prostitute of Babylon. Nimrod was the first Evil King. And the High Priestess of Babylon and Jezebel are examples of the Prostitute of Babylon. The Evil King and Prostitute of Babylon derive their power from the Cosmic System. They are the slaves of evil, who seek to enslave others as they do the devil's bidding as cosmic evangelists. The world will not be rid of these two until the Lord Jesus Christ destroys them at the Second Advent.
The Evil King is a dictator who operates outside the Laws of Establishment. He usurps true authority, and takes away freedom through both lawlessness and tyranny. True love does not exist in his vocabulary. He is the personification of his ruler, the devil, who was a liar and a murderer from the beginning.
The Prostitute of Babylon is the enemy of Marriage and family. She usurps the authority of her husband and seeks to rule him. Her only love is money, the coin of the realm of Babylon. She infiltrates the Church and seeks to control it through the power of Ecumenical Babylon. She appeals to lascivious lusts to get business and gain power and feigns love as a cover for insatiable lusts and greed.
The Evil King and the Prostitute of Babylon are the enemies of the Christian and civilization. They are the enemies of those who seek Spiritual Rapport, which lies beyond Spiritual Maturity in the adult phase of the Spiritual Life. They deprive Christians of their Crowns. The immature Christian will never see these enemies. They will rule his life and his Church. He will fight the symptoms without ever seeing these masters of disguise. They can only be defeated by the Christian who advances to Spiritual Rapport. And Spiritual Rapport is only possible through execution of Bible Doctrine - not just academic study. Metabolization of Bible Doctrine is required for Spiritual Growth.
The Doctrine of Babylon the Great is taught from Genesis to Revelation. It is a major theme of human history. It is the ultimate problem in the Church, the state, business, education, Marriage, and family. Yet, the problem is invisible to the Spiritually blind. Whereas, it takes a strong believer in Spiritual Rapport to defeat the Evil King and Prostitute of Babylon, every believer has the power to stop them by sticking to Christian Integrity. The Christian who will not compromise on the basics of authority and love will stop them cold. Christians with integrity like St. Patrick and Brigid of Ireland can stop these enemies.
Babylon the Great will rule until the Second Advent, but the Christian members of the Royal Family of God will be able to defeat them. Christians who take the high ground through the daily metabolization of Bible Doctrine will be able to topple the thrones of the Evil King and the Prostitute of Babylon. The world will not see the Christians rise, but it will see the smoke from the fall of Babylon. The reason for many of the problems in society are rooted in the evil of Babylon the Great. Only the Christian can make a difference against the ancient enemy. Every day the Christian persists with Rebound and Spiritual Growth is another day closer to the time that victory can be achieved over the arch enemy of God and man. And every fight that is won will be an opportunity for Eternal reward at the Judgment Tribunal of Christ. The Winner believer will reign with Christ in the Millennium and will be decorated for all Eternity as a testimony of the Grace of God and the faithfulness of the King of kings and Lord of lords.
