Biblical Astrology is the use of Bible Doctrine to understand the divine order of the Heavens and the Spiritual meaning of planetary and stellar configurations.  The Heavens declare the glory of God.1  There are signs and pictures in the sky.  God created them for a purpose that was more than inspiration of beauty and awe.  With a little study it becomes obvious that there are pictures, patterns, and time relationships in the sky.  The Heavens are not the result of a random explosion but a carefully orchestrated design.

The Astronomer looks at the sky and sees stars.  The Astrologer seeks Spiritual meaning from the symbolic meaning of stars.  The problem with astrology arises from the choice of definitions.  There are two choices, God's or the devil's.  The devil has created an elaborate system of lies about God's Creation.  On the other hand, God's definitions from the Bible are true and reliable.  However, no one seems to know God's definitions.  Even those who claim to use Biblical Astrology don't follow the Bible.  And those who claim to use Christian Astrology are no different.

Divination is the use of the devil's lies to interpret the meanings of things and predict the future.  Divination is a sin that was equivalent to idolatry and punishable by death under the Mosaic Law.  Almost all astrology is divination because the devil's lies are the basis for interpretation.  Western Astrology, for example, uses mythology in combination with the Tropical Zodiac, which uses the planetary configurations over ancient Babylon 2500 years ago.  The Sidereal Zodiac defines the true positions of the stars today.

Biblical Astrology dates back to Job, Jacob and Joseph.  Joseph had a profound influence over Egyptian astrology.  However, it has been hidden by the evil influence of Egyptian mythology.  Daniel was a great astrologer in ancient Babylon.  However, he didn't have the complete Bible, and there were limitations to his knowledge.  Many have sought to understand Biblical Astrology.  Great astronomers like Sir Isaac Newton and Johannes Kepler believed in astrology and sought to reconcile it with the Bible.  The ancient Essenes sought to understand Biblical Astrology, but they never cracked the code.  The hidden manna was there, but none of these people saw it.

The secret code for Biblical Astrology is the hidden manna of Genesis 49.  The Jews have long believed the key to astrology was there, but they lacked the Spiritual insight to get it straight.  Hebrew astrology is wrong because it also uses the wrong definitions.  The truth has been there all along, but apparently no one has ever believed it.  The twelve tribes of Israel are indeed the clue to understanding Biblical Astrology.  However, Genesis 49 must be understood in order to associate the correct meaning with each sign of the Zodiac.  And the meanings of the planets must also be understood, which has apparently defied all the great astronomers and astrologers of history.

When the correct definitions of the signs of the Zodiac and the planets are used with the Sidereal Zodiac, the Heavens suddenly come alive with the glory of God.  Everything that God ever did has meaning, and the Heavens are literally shouting out truth.  People actually behave according to their Birth Charts.  What's more, animals do too.  The events of history were all designed in detail  to correspond to the visual sign language that flashes forth overhead.  History unfolds daily in concert with the stellar light display overhead.  It is all a magnificent testimony of the wisdom and glory of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things.

Orchestrated Creation

All of Creation was designed in eternity past by the Sovereign decision of God.  There is a master plan for everything.  Everything fits the Master's Sovereign plan and purpose.  The Sun symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, and the Moon symbolizes the Church with no light of its own, only reflected glory.  Each planet symbolizes some aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ and His work of Redemption.  The Sun moves through a sign of the Zodiac every month on the clock of time.  The signs of the Zodiac portray the panorama of the Plan of God in human history from the Garden of Eden to the Millennium.  And the Gospel of Jesus Christ is portrayed from Virgo, the virgin birth, to Leo, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, who will return at the Second Advent and rule for a thousand years.

Most artists would be content with a pictorial description of human history in the sky, but God in His infinite wisdom has done much more.  He has made the picture in the sky a living work.  The signs in Heavens, like a master clock, are precisely orchestrated with individual lives and events of history.  The meaning of the birth and death of everyone is reflected overhead with divine meaning.  The chart of the planetary configuration in the Zodiac at the time of birth and death reveal the purpose and meaning of God's creation of the individual.  Just as the Lord told Rebekah that two nations were in her womb when she was pregnant with Jacob and Esau (Gen. 25:23), He creates each person at birth for a purpose and ensures the completion of that purpose.  And the Heavens are synchronized to each individual's destiny.

The planets and signs overhead do not send vibrations to mankind, but they do portray the divine viewpoint of what is happening on the Earth.  The Birth Chart will come true in each person's life.  Even though God never compromises a person's volition and even though a person may fuss or fight the Divine Design, he will, nevertheless, turn out according to God's Design as reflected in his Birth Chart.  The Sovereignty of God and free will of man combine to accomplish God's predetermined plan for human history.  Every day a person lives under the control of Heaven even though he may not be aware of it.  God gives him soul-life at birth, and God takes his soul from the body at death.  Every step of the way, God is in control of His creation.  God first decided who He would create, and He planned the life.  He then created the person and watched over him until the day of his death.  And all this is reflected in the Heavens.

To understand the meaning of the Heavens, divine revelation is needed.  God has provided all the instruction in the Bible.  Of course, only the Christian will ever know the truth, because the revelation is Spiritual.  A person who is Spiritually dead will never know the truth.  Spiritual Life is available through faith in Jesus Christ.  Those with Spiritual Life have access to God and His teaching.  Those who are spiritually dead are at the mercy of Satan and his cosmic system.  Without Salvation it is impossible to ever know the truth.  So Biblical Astrology requires Salvation as a prerequisite.  With Salvation the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit will facilitate the understanding and application of the Bible instruction that is needed to comprehend the meaning of the signs in the Heavens.

The ZodiacZodiac

As the Earth revolves around the Sun every year, the Sun appears in constellations along its path.  There are thirteen prominent signs along the Sun's path, which is called the Ecliptic.  Twelve of the signs are located about every 30 degrees and thus are like the face of a clock for measuring the months of the year.  The picture of the zodiac in astrology is usually drawn as a circle with the Earth in the center and the path of the Sun and the signs on the periphery.

The best testimony of the existence of the zodiac is from the LORD Himself.  The LORD told Job about the zodiac.2

"Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades,
Or loose the cords of Orion? (Job 38:31)
The LORD described the Pleiades as bound with chains like a bracelet with jewels or a bouquet of jewels.  Pleiades is in Taurus.  The chords of Orion refer to the bands or chords by which the constellation is symbolically dragged along in the heavens.
"Can you bring forth the signs of the zodiac at the right time,
And guide the Bier with its children? (Job 38:32)
"The signs of the zodiac" is the Hebrew, torZ*m^, (mazzaroth).   Mazzaroth refers to the twelve signs of the zodiac, which were regarded by the Arabs as menazil, i.e. station-houses in which the Sun took up its abode in succession during the year.  The word is equivalent to the Hebrew, tolZ*M^, (mazzaloth) (2 Kings 23:5).  It is sometimes translated, constellations.  "At the right time" indicates that the LORD referred to the signs of the zodiac for telling time like a clock.

The Bier is the Hebrew, vy!u^, ('ajish), which the astronomers call Ursa Major, or the Great Bear.  The Hebrew word, however, is an aphaeresis of a similar word, vu^n^, (na`ash), which comes from an Arabic word that means bier and is a pun for bear.   The story that goes with the paronomasia is that the children were the attendants in the funeral procession of the bier of their father slain by Gedi, the pole star.  The procession of children following the bier of their slain father was a common folk tale in Syria.  When the Lord brought this up, He was chiding Job as a child.  Furthermore, the Great Bier symbolizes the first Adam, and the Little Bier symbolizes the Second Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Do you know the laws of the heavens,
Or do you establish their rule over the Earth? (Job 38:33)
The "laws of the heavens" refer to divine laws of the Universe, which include the laws of electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, gravity, atomic structure, chemistry, relativity, and the physics of the Universe.  However, the Lord said the heavens had been established to "rule over the Earth."  The word for the heavens is plural, but it can mean Heaven, as the abode of God, as well as the heavens, as the Universe.  The rule from Heaven refers to God's control of Creation from the Heavenly Control Room in Heaven.3  The rule of the heavens over the Earth indicates that the heavens actually have symbolic meaning associated with the authority of God.  They have meaning beyond physics, mathematics, and astronomy.  This is called Astrology.  Newton and Kepler tried in vain to understand the astrological meaning of the heavens.  They failed because they did not know Bible Doctrine.

The LORD reminded Job of the laws of Heaven, which controls the heavens (the Universe).  The laws of Heaven govern the physical laws of the Universe, including the laws of Newtonian mechanics and Einstein's Relativity, which define the interaction of heavenly bodies, but there is more implied.  There are not only definitions like mass, distance, and velocity, but also laws that influence, or control, plant and animal life.  Birds migrate and plants perform photosynthesis in the day.  Animals sleep at night.  The word that is translated, "rule," is the Hebrew noun rf*v=m! (mishe tar), which means rule, authority, or control.  The laws of Heaven that rule over and have control over the Earth go beyond Newtonian mechanics or Einstein's Relativity.  The laws of Heaven are part of God's Sovereign Design.  Thus, the signs of the zodiac have meaning for the Earth that go beyond the physical.  The signs have meaning because they are part of a bigger system, namely, God's Sovereign Design for Creation.  All of the Universe, including the zodiac that cycles overhead, is under the constant control of the Heavenly Control System.3

Jeremiah

The Lord told Jeremiah about Astrology just as He had told Job and Joseph.

Jeremiah 31:35-36
35 Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the Sun for light by day,
And the laws of the Moon and the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar;
The Lord of the Armies is His name:
36 "If these laws depart from before Me," declares the Lord,
"Then the descendants of Israel also shall cease
From being a nation before Me forever."
The "laws of the Moon and the stars" are the divine laws of the Universe.  The heavenly bodies move according to prescribed patterns, orbits, and trajectories based upon divine laws of astrology, which gives them meaning.  The laws are dependable due to the Grace of God.  The Sun always rises at the right time to keep the time of day synchronized and to provide energy for the Earth with its plants, animals, and weather.  And the Moon and the stars are always configured to portray God's divine message to mankind in synchronism with history.  Just as the divine laws of the Universe will not fail, neither shall the descendants of Israel cease to be a nation.  God's Grace provides for both.
Jeremiah 33:20-21
20 Thus says the LORD, "If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that day and night will not come at the appointed time,
21 then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers."
The Lord calls the divine laws that govern the day and the night, "My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night."  The Sun and Moon were established to tell time in hours and months.  The time is accurate because the physical laws conform to the Grace of God.  Just as the Lord's covenant with the Sun and Moon is dependable, His promises of the Davidic Covenant and the Levitical Priesthood are just as dependable.  The Sun and the Moon measure the time until the fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant when the Lord Jesus Christ ascends to the Throne of David in the Millennium.  Thus, there is symbolic astrological meaning to the movements of the Sun and Moon.  The Sun and the Moon are the two major planets used in astrology.

Psalm 19

In Psalm 19 David describes the glory of the Heavens and their astrological meaning to the Earth.

The heavens are recounting the glory of God,
And the work of His hands the firmament declares. (verse 1)
"Recounting" is the Hebrew, rp^s*, (sapar), meaning to recount, enumerate. The heavens are displaying information that reveals the glory of their Creator.  The heavenly bodies and constellations were shaped by God as a sculptor would do.  "The firmament" is the Hebrew, u^yq!r*, (raqi`a), meaning the vault of heaven, or firmament.
Day unto day broadcasts information,
And night unto night reveals knowledge. (verse 2)
The heavens are broadcasting information and revealing knowledge every day and night.  They have a message from God that is being revealed to Earth.  This is more than astronomy.  It is astrology.
There is no speech nor words;
Their voice is inaudible. (verse 3)
The heavens speak without sounds or words.  They communicate with pictures, signs, and symbols.  They are a silent witness.  A picture is worth a thousand words (Romans 1:19).
Into all the Earth their line has gone out,
And to the end of the world their utterances.
For the Sun He has set a tabernacle there. (verse 4)
"Their line" refers to a measuring line for marking off a possession in land.  The heavens are sending out measurements to the Earth.  For example, the Promised Land was allotted to the Tribes of Israel, and each tribe is symbolized by a different sign of the zodiac.  The pattern of Client Nation Israel with its signs of the zodiac for each Tribe can then be superimposed on all the continents of the world.  Thus, the pattern of the zodiac in Israel applies to all the world (ref. World Client Nation Model Maps).

The "utterances" of the heavens reach the ends of the Earth.  Everyone on Earth can reach God consciousness by observing the heavens.

The Lord designed a tabernacle (tent) for the Sun.  The Sun symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.  The tabernacle is a metaphor for the horizon, where the setting Sun goes into the tent and it becomes night. The tabernacle is also a reference to a house of the zodiac.  A house is one of the 30 degree pie-shaped areas of the zodiac for each sign.  The Sun occupies one house each month.

He is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber.
He rejoices as a strong man to run the course. (verse 5)
The Sun in this Psalm in the time of the Mosaic Law represents the Lord Jesus Christ in all His glory as the bridegroom of the congregation of Israel (whom He divorced) (Joel 2:16).  The Lord is full of Happiness as a bridegroom.  The Sun runs its course in the sky each year as portrayed by the Sun going around the full circle of a zodiac.  Running the course is also a metaphor for running the course of life (2 Timothy 4:7; Hebrews 12:1).
From the end of the heavens is his rising;
His circuit unto the end of them;
And nothing can hide from his heat. (verse 6)
The Sun rises at the eastern horizon, which is called "the end of the heavens."  The circuit of the Sun is to the other end of the Heavens.  This refers to the Sun, which represents the Lord Jesus Christ, going around the circle of the zodiac.  The zodiac portrays the history of Creation (Deuteronomy 4:32), and the history of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Nothing can hide from his (the Sun's) heat."  "The heat" refers to the enlightening and warming influence of the Sun.  The Sun is obvious every day to everyone on the Earth.

The Sun symbolizes:

  1. The Right Man (father of Joseph) (Gen 37:9-10)
  2. Lord God (Psa 84:11), who dwells in unapproachable Light (1 Ti 6:16, Lord Jesus Christ).
  3. The LORD, "Sun of Righteousness" (Mal 4:2)
  4. The Throne of David for the LORD (Psa 89:36)
  5. Lord Jesus Christ transfigured (Matt 17:2), in Resurrection Body (Rev 1:16)
  6. Analogy - Face of Angelic King of Arms (Rev 10:1)
  7. Analogy - Clothing of personified Israel (Rev 12:1).

The Planets

Planets

The planets in the Solar System revolve around the Sun and reflect its glory.  The Sun symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, and each planet reflects a different aspect of the person of Christ and His work of Salvation for all mankind.1  The planets are called the "Morning Stars" (Job 38:7), and the second planet is called the "bright Morning Star" (Rev 22:16).

After Satan fell, God refashioned, or re-created, the Universe to make it ready for man.  The constellations portrayed the Master Plan of the Ages and the Planets symbolized the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator, and His plan of Salvation.  The angels marveled at the magnificent creation.  The Lord asked Job:

Job 38:4, 7
4 "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the Earth?
Tell Me if you have understanding.
...
7 When the morning stars (planets) sang together,
And all the sons of God (angels) shouted for Joy?"
The morning stars were the planets that the Lord placed in orbits around the Sun.  The planets "sang together" is a metaphor for shouting prophetic messages in song.  This is poetry that describes the harmony of Creation in glorifying the Lord and Savior.  The planets around the Sun symbolically sang praises to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Singing is divinely inspired prophetic utterance.  However, the messages of the planets were not audible.  They were conveyed through the visible light images of the planets.  The Elect Angels were filled with great Happiness and sang praises to God when they saw the new Creation.

In Biblical Astrology the names of the planets are titles of Christ as opposed to the Latin names of Satan's demons used by astronomers.  For example, the first planet symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ in the First Advent as the Savior.  The second planet is the Morning Star, the symbol of the Christ in His Second Advent.  The Red Planet symbolizes the Blood of Christ in His substitutionary spiritual death on the Cross.  The Earth is the vantage point for viewing the heavens.  It is assumed to be in the center of astrology charts, although it is seldom shown.  The Almighty God symbolizes God's Sovereignty as reflected in the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Ringed Planet symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as God of the Covenants.  The Mediator planet, which has an axis that points East and West, symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the Mediator and High Priest.  The Redeemer planet symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the One who redeemed mankind with His blood from the slave market of sin.  And the Last Adam symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the Last Adam, who fulfilled the Adamic Covenant.

In addition to the planets, the Sun and Moon are also significant heavenly bodies used in astrology.  Since they are always plotted on the charts along with the other planets, in astrology they are commonly called planets.  Thus, the Sun, Moon, and eight planets are usually plotted on charts, and astrologers commonly call them the 10 planets.  The Sun is the brightest and most significant indicator in astrology.  It symbolizes Jesus Christ as the Creator and Light of the world.  In a person's Birth Chart, the Sun indicates the Birth Sign, which most accurately reflects the person.  The Moon symbolizes the Right Woman, and in a woman's chart it symbolizes her relationship with the Right Man from whom she receives her light.

The Tribes of IsraelZodiac Tribes

The great secret passed down from Jacob in Genesis 49 is that each Tribe of Israel symbolizes a sign of the zodiac.  When Jacob pronounced the blessing on each of his sons before his death, he left enough clues to match the character of each son to a sign of the zodiac.  Jacob understood the zodiac and his sons, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit inspired his communication so that later generations would be able to know the truth.

Jacob blessed his sons in the order of their birth.  He began with Reuben.

  1. Reuben was passed over from receiving the inheritance of the firstborn because he committed adultery with Bilhah, his father's concubine.  He symbolizes Capricornus, the Goat, which was sacrificed for sin to atone for the sins of Israel so the Lord would pass over their sins.
  2. Simeon was a criminal, a murderer, and cruel to animals.  He symbolizes Scorpius, the scorpion, which represents the evil one (Satan).
  3. Levi was also a criminal, but his descendants became priests and keepers of the Law.  He symbolizes Pisces, the two fish, one pointed toward Heaven and the other toward the Ecliptic, which represents a priest who intercedes for the believer.
  4. Judah was given the firstborn right of rulership of the Tribe.  He was called a lion, which symbolizes Leo.  The Lord Jesus Christ is called the lion of the Tribe of Judah.
  5. Zebulun would dwell by the seashore.  He symbolizes Aquarius, the water bearer.
  6. Issachar was a donkey, the pack animal of Israel.  He symbolizes Aries, the ram, the leader of the flock.  The analogy is that he leads the other pack animals in a deployment.
  7. Dan, which means judge, ministered justice.  He symbolizes Libra, the balance (scales), and symbol of justice.
  8. Gad was the raiding band.  He symbolizes Sagittarius, the archer.
  9. Asher would eat the fat of the land.  He symbolizes Taurus, the bull.
  10. Naphtali was a doe.  He symbolizes Virgo, the virgin.
  11. Joseph received the double blessing of the firstborn.  His sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, were adopted by Jacob.  Thus, Ephraim and Manasseh symbolize Gemini, the twins, which represent the double blessing.
  12. Benjamin was a ravenous wolf who ate the spoils of victory.  Benjamin symbolized Cancer, the crab.

World Maps

Since the Tribes of Israel form the Client Nation Model of the world and the Tribes symbolize the signs of the Zodiac, it follows that the signs of the Zodiac can also be associated with the Client Nation Model.  For example, Zebulun corresponds to Florida in the United States of America.  Zebulun also symbolizes Aquarius.  Therefore, Florida also corresponds to Aquarius.  See the Zodiac Map for signs of the Zodiac in the nations of the world.Zodiac Compass

Now, the Tribes of Israel camped around the Tabernacle were also positioned along the points of a compass.  Therefore, a compass can be constructed from the locations of the tribes around the Tabernacle.  The sign of the Zodiac associated with each tribe can then be attached to form a compass as shown in the graphic.  For example, Leo would be in the East and Libra in the North.  Note, the order of the signs of the Zodiac are not the same as the order of the tribes camped around the Tabernacle.  Therefore, the direction in the heavens is not the same as the points of a compass on the land.

Using the Zodiac Compass constructed from the tribes on the ground, Libra is in the North.  Israel was always invaded from the North.  So, Judgment came from the North.  The North also symbolized the federal judiciary in Israel.  The East was associated with government leadership and the armies of the government that went out and came in corresponding to the rising and setting of the Sun.  Capricornus in the South symbolized the goat that was released in the desert in the South on the Day of Atonement.  And the bedroom was on the back side of the tent.  This corresponded to Gemini, the Twins and symbol of Marriage.

It should also be noted that the sign of Pisces does not appear on the Zodiac Compass, since it was associated with the Levites who were not on the periphery of the camp.  Also, since the tribes camped opposite the four sides of the Tabernacle and not precisely at the corners, the directions in between the four main directions (north, south, east, west) are on the boundary between two tribes.  For example, northeast does not precisely point to a sign; whereas, any point to the north of northeast points to Virgo, and any point to the east of northeast points to Aries.

Divination

Divination is trying to determine the future apart from the revelation of the Holy Spirit.  Divination, like magic, is one of the dark arts of the Cosmic System, which attempts to discover hidden knowledge by interpreting omens or by supernatural powers.   The vocabulary of divination is the vocabulary of the devil.  It is full of lies.  Those who practice divination, either giving or receiving, may become entangled in demonism, which is idolatry.  Consequently, under the Mosaic Law divination was a sin that was equivalent to idolatry and punishable by death.

The Bible does not prohibit astrology, but it does prohibit divination through astrology or any other means.  Divination is the use of the devil's lies to interpret the meanings of things and predict the future.    Almost all astrology is divination because the devil's lies are the basis for interpretation.  Divination is an attempt to determine spiritual meaning apart from Biblical truth.  "Whatever is not from faith (Bible Doctrine) is sin" (Romans 14:23b).

Divine viewpoint, in contrast to divination, is application of Bible Doctrine (faith) in order to determine Spiritual meaning.  Divine viewpoint is the accurate interpretation of events based upon application of Bible Doctrine.  The believer is commanded to "walk by faith" (2 Cor. 5:7) and "walk by the Spirit" (Gal. 5:16).  Thus, divine viewpoint is commanded.  Now, "the heavens are recounting the glory of God."  Therefore, the believer must have divine viewpoint about the heavens; otherwise, he will be guilty of divination from human viewpoint, which is not "from faith" (Bible Doctrine).  Thus, it is not those who practice Biblical Astrology who are guilty of divination, but those who don't practice it.  God never intended for Christians to be prohibited from looking at the stars or understanding the signs of the zodiac.  The Christian who does not understand these things has blind spots that enslave him to the devil's Cosmic System.

The stars aren't evil.  God created the heavenly bodies for signs and timing.

Then God commanded, "Lights come into being in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night.  They were for signs, for seasons, for days and years; (Genesis 1:14)
Signs include the phases of the Moon and the sign of the zodiac that appears each month of the year.  Timing includes not only days, months, and years, but also ages (ref. The Ages).

Bible Doctrine must be the vocabulary for understanding the truth.  Note of caution:  The explanation of the Biblical Astrology, like "Hands in Scripture," and "Numbers in Scripture," is uniquely defined here.  That means that not a single theologically accurate reference can be cited in known literature.  The vocabulary of astrologers will not be used; and the Christian would be advised to steer clear of these people.  Even when these people think they understand the truth, it may be a Spiritual lie.  Even those who use terms like Biblical Astrology and Christian Astrology do not use Bible Doctrine.  When people call the first planet, Mercury, for example, that is a lie of the devil.  These are false teachers, antichrists.

Another piece of advice:  The Holy Spirit is the teacher of the Christian.  For those who are not saved, Salvation is more important than reading about astrology.  It is important to study Bible Doctrine in the Filling of the Holy Spirit, which requires Rebound.  Don't approach this study or any Bible Study without the Filling of the Holy Spirit.  Those who are not filled with the Holy Spirit are in the Cosmic System.  Astrologers who are not filled with the Holy Spirit are in the Cosmic System.  The Christian must always obey the Holy Spirit even when studying under a reputable pastor-teacher.  Since the Holy Spirit is our teacher, that prohibits counseling.  The Holy Spirit is our counselor.

"But our tutor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and He will remind you of all that I said to you. (John 14:26)
Even if a student of astrology does know the truth, he or she does not have a right to counsel, which includes telling the future or giving advice.  Those who are not filled with the Holy Spirit are subject to demonism, and demons lie.  Western Astrology, which is based upon the teachings of ancient Babylon is such a lie.

Biblical Basis for Birth Charts

Because the Babylonian astrologers were completely wrong, the Lord set the record straight.  He not only exposed them as liars, but He defined the true connection of birth to the heavens.  In so doing, He validated the Birth Chart.
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
Who formed you out from the womb,
"I, the Lord, am the maker of all things,
Who stretched out the heavens alone,
Who spread out the Earth by Myself. (Isaiah 44:24)
The Lord spoke as the Redeemer, who purchases mankind from the slave market of sin.  He says He "formed you out from the womb."  This is creationism.  It means that the Lord forms the body of the child in the womb, and when the fetus can sustain life, He imputes the soul to the body.  The fetus has biological life, but it does not have human soul life until God imputes it.  Whether that occurs in the womb or outside may be the subject of theological debate.  "Out from the womb" in this verse is the Hebrew min + beten.  This phrase, "out from the womb," establishes the time of birth.

Then the Lord emphasizes that He is the "maker of all things."  This refers to creation, and He is discussing the creation of the human soul, which He establishes with a unique identity and imputes it to the human body.  When the baby inhales, the soul has entered the body.

Then the Lord says that He "stretched out the heavens alone."  He is the sole Creator of the heavens and the baby.  This means He put the heavens overhead in a precise configuration to correspond to the individual at the precise time of birth.  That is the basis for the Birth Chart, which matches the heavens to the exact time of a person's birth.  At birth, the child is freed from its mother to live its life on the Earth.  Life span is measured from birth to death, regardless of when the fetus receives soul life.  And when the child is born, the heavens are speaking.

Then the Lord continues by saying  that He "spread out the Earth" by Himself.  He made the plains.  He made the Earth with its environment as a home for man.  This further establishes the geographical coordinates of a person's birth.  The Lord made the Earth and brought the child out from the womb at precisely defined coordinates and a precise time with respect to the heavens.

Throughout the verse, the Lord repeats the concept that He alone did this.  The repeating establishes that He alone creates the heavens, the Earth, and soul life.  And He alone determines the precise time and location of birth.  Since He alone did it, He alone has exclusive knowledge about it.  The only way to interpret what He did is to have divine viewpoint, not human viewpoint or Satanic viewpoint, which the Babylonian astrologers had.  So Bible Doctrine, or Biblical Astrology, is the only means of understanding God, His Creation, or Birth Charts.

Who brings to naught the omens of the false prognosticators,
And makes fools of the diviners;
Who turns back the wise men,
And makes foolish their science. (Isaiah 44:25)
Not only is the Lord the Creator, who knows the truth about His Creation, He "brings to naught the omens of the false prognosticators."  He frustrates and puts down the predictions of the Babylonian soothsayers and astrologers.  They interpret signs, or omens, according to Satanic and human viewpoint, not according to divine viewpoint.  They name the planets after Satan's gods.  Therefore, they are liars.  Furthermore, the Lord "makes fools of the diviners."  Diviners are trying to interpret the future apart from divine truth under the ministry of the Holy Spirit.  Those who are spiritually dead will never understand the truth of God in His Creation.

The Lord "turns back the wise men" of Babylon.  He brings their predictions to a halt.  And He "makes foolish their science."  Their science is the false doctrine that they use for interpreting the signs in the heavens or on Earth.  Satanic and human viewpoint cannot understand the spiritual truth of God's Creation.  If the astrologer is spiritually dead, his science is a lie.

Twins and Doubles

Twins symbolize the sign of Gemini in Creation.  Twins represent witnesses, helpers, and challengers.  Identical twins look almost exactly the same.  Doubles, on the other hand, are people who look alike, but are not identical.4  Twins are born at the same time from the same mother, but doubles are born from different mothers at different times, even centuries apart.

Twins share the same Birth Chart, but they may turn out quite differently, as Jacob and Esau.  Esau was a hunter and outdoorsman, but Jacob was peaceful and preferred domestic pursuits (Gen 25:27).  They challenged each other and bore witness against each other, and they symbolized two nations in opposition (Gen 25:22-23).  Birth Charts can have more than one meaning since God creates the soul, and it has volition (free will).  Jacob and Esau came into the world at very nearly the same time but with two different viewpoints.

All people are created to be witnesses in the Appeal Trial of Satan.5  A pair of twins symbolizes a witness.  Doubles also symbolize witnesses.  Doubles may look alike or have the same type personality.  A double may bear witness of his double.  Thus, meeting a double may indicate a repeat of history.  God sends doubles from the past into our lives to remind us of the past in order to recalibrate our strategic advance into the future.  Doubles and twins can be born under any sign, not just Gemini.  Thus, there may be lawless doubles from Capricornus, women doubles from Virgo, and judicial doubles from Libra.

The Appeal Trial of Satan is being conducted in the Spiritual realm in parallel with human history in the Temporal realm.  The people on Earth are also appearing in spiritual form in the Spiritual realm.  Doubles are witness in the trial.  They are witnesses for Good or evil, for God or Satan (Acts 1:8).  A person who serves God is a witness for the prosecution, and a person who serves Satan is a witness for the defense.  For example, Jacob was a witness for the prosecution (God), and Esau was a witness for the defense (Satan).
