Millennium
1. Jesus Christ will dwell on
the Earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. As King, He will rule
the Earth, and as Lord, He will teach face-to-face (Heb 10:16).
a.
As King, He will sit on the Throne of David as King of Israel.
b.
The Church in Resurrection Bodies will rule and reign with Christ.
c.
Israel will be the Client Nation to God, and all nations will be blessed
through Israel in fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant (Zech 8:13)..
Distinctions will exist between Jews and Gentiles.
d.
Gentile nations will be dependent on Israel and will serve Israel (Zech
8:23).
e.
The Spiritual Life will be defined by the New Covenant to Israel (Heb 8:8-12;
10:16-17), which will be patterned after the New Covenant to the Church.
The Temple in Jerusalem will be the center of worship for both Jews and
Gentiles of the entire world (Zech 8:20-23).
f.
The environment will be perfect. The land will be fertile (Isa 32:15).
The desert will blossom (Isa 35:1-2). Animals will live together
in peace (Isa 11:6-8).
g.
Satan and his demons will be cast off the Earth (Rev 20:2, 7).
2. The Millennium will be
the Marriage Feast of the Lamb (Rev 19:7).
a.
The Church in Resurrection Bodies will be the bride, and Client Nation
Israel will be symbolically married to the Lord (Isa 54:5-8; Hos 2:19).
b.
All the people of the Earth will participate in the Wedding Feast and enjoy
fellowship with the Lord (Isa 25:6; Rev 19:7-9).
3. The Lord Jesus Christ
will abide as King of the nation of Israel and over the kings of the Gentile
nations. There will be world peace – not war (Isa 2:4).
4. The Lord Jesus Christ
will abide as Lord of the Congregation of the Jews and the Gentiles.
He will teach the Jews personally, and his instruction will be disseminated
to the Gentiles.
a.
There will be distinctions between Jews and Gentiles (Zech 8:23).
b.
Israel will be distinguished as the priest nation (Isa 61:6), and the Gentiles
will serve Israel (Isa 60:1-14; 61:5).
c.
There will be a Levitical Priesthood to serve in the Temple (Isa 66:21).
d.
Israel will receive a double portion of blessing in the Land of Israel
(Isa 61:7).
e.
There will be a Temple in Jerusalem, which will be a house of prayer.
Both Jews and Gentiles will be allowed to worship in the Temple (Isa 56:3-7;
Mk 11:17).
5. All believers will abide
with the Lord on the Earth. There will be no believers in Heaven.
6. The Spiritual life of
believers will be patterned after the Church Age with differences.
a.
Believers can receive the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Isa 32:15; 44:3;
Ezek 39:29; Joel 2:28-29; Zech 12:10), which is like the miraculous power
of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2:16).
b.
Believers can have fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but
they will not be indwelt by the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit. Only
the Church has that distinction as Royal Family of God.
c.
Believers can abide in a Love relationship with God the Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ.
d.
The Love relationship between the Lord and Israel will be special, like
the Marriage Analogy of the Lord and the Church (Isa 54:5-8; Hos 2:19).
e.
All believers will know the Lord.
"The Earth will be full
of the knowledge of the LORD as waters that cover the sea" (Isa 11:9; Hab
2:14)
f. Believers
will abide in great blessing with Happiness, peace, security, health, and
prosperity in perfect environment (Isa 32:18; 35:1-10).
g.
Living in the Millennium will be like a permanent vacation. The curse
of work will be removed, and modern conveniences and sanctification from
worldly distractions will reduce work to near zero. Believers will
be free to exploit the Spiritual life to the maximum. Believers will
have Righteousness, receive Grace, and produce peace and love (Isa
32:17; Rom 14:17; James 3:18).
Eternal State
1. In the Eternal State there
will be a New Heaven and a New Earth (Isa 65:17). Believers from
all Dispensations will dwell on the New Earth with God (Rev 21:3,
7).
2. Church Age Believers will
dwell in the New Jerusalem in the presence of God the Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ (Rev 3:12; 21:2, 10) (Rev. 21:10, 22-23). The New Jerusalem
will be beautiful like a bride adorned for her husband (Rev 21:2).
3. Nations of Jews and Gentiles
who are not from the Church will dwell on the New Earth outside the New
Jerusalem in the its light (Rev 21:24). Some believers will have
cities named for them (Heb 11:9-10).
a.
Jews: Resurrected Jews will be separate and distinct from the Church,
the Royal Family of God (Heb 13:10). They will live in cities (Heb 11:10,
16) in a nation (fatherland, country) that surrounds the New Jerusalem
(Heb 11:14, 16).
b.
Gentiles: Resurrected Gentiles, like Job, will live in nations outside
Israel on the New Earth.
4. The Lord Jesus Christ
will be the Royal Messiah, the King and High Priest. He will rule from
the Throne of God as King in a temporal function (Rev 22:3), and He will
be the High Priest of the Church in a Spiritual function.
a.
The Church will be members of the Family of God (Eph 2:19).
b.
The Church will rule and reign with Him (Eph 2:19; Heb 12:22, 28; Rev 22:5)
and serve as the Priesthood (1 Pet 2:9; Rev 1:6; 5:10).
c.
Church Age bond-servants (Royal Priests) will serve the Lord (Rev 22:3).
They will be ambassadors for Christ among the nations.
d.
They will see His face and His name will be on their foreheads (Rev 22:4).
5. Temple: The collective
Body of Christ (the Church) is analogous to a building in which individual
Christians are joined together spiritually to form "a holy temple" (Eph
2:21). The "holy temple" refers to the Church in the Heavenly Jerusalem
(Gal 4:26; 2 Ti 4:18; Heb 12:22; 13:10-14), also called the "New Jerusalem"
(Rev 3:12; 21:2, 10) and the "city of the Living God" (Heb 12:22).
