And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the Sun, and the Moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; (Revelation 12:1)The woman is Virgin Israel, as symbolized by Virgo, the Virgin. The woman also symbolizes the wives of Jacob, who is symbolized by the Sun. The twelve stars symbolize the twelve sons of Jacob. The Moon symbolizes the congregation of Israel as well as Jacob's wives. The woman could also symbolize the Virgin Mary, who would bear the Christ child. And the woman can also symbolize Virgin Israel in the throes of labor during the Tribulation.
furthermore, she was pregnant; and she screamed, suffering from labor pains and she was tortured. (Revelation 12:2)The next sign mentioned is indeed the sign of the constellation Draco, the Dragon and symbol of Satan.
Then another sign was seen in heaven: behold, a great red dragon who had control of the seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven crowns. (Revelation 12:3)Satan, the red dragon, will control the Beast with seven heads and ten horns who is the Dictator of the Revived Roman Empire in the Tribulation. The ten horns are the ten states of the European Confederation over which he rules.
And his tail dragged away a third of the stars of heaven; in fact, He (God) threw them down to planet Earth. Then the dragon stood opposite the woman who was about to deliver a child, in order that when she gave birth he might devour (destroy) her child. (Revelation 12:4)The third of the stars of heaven refers to the fallen angels that Satan convinced to follow him. Satan and his angels were thrown out of Heaven and down to the Earth. Satan was the dragon who tried to destroy the Christ child through King Herod. This dragon can also refer to the constellation Serpens, which lurks at the feet of the constellation Virgo. The dragon waiting to destroy the child can also symbolize Satan's attempt to destroy Israel in the Tribulation. He will try to destroy all of the children of Israel to prevent fulfillment of the unconditional covenants to Israel at the Second Advent.
Now, if the Great Sign of the Virgin is taken literally, it would appear in the sky as the Sun in Virgo with the Moon under her feet. This actually occurred September 11, 3 BC (Julian) as shown in the illustration. On that day the Sun was in Virgo and the Moon was under her feet. Since the actual New Moon was at 2:35 PM on September 9 in Bethlehem, the Moon was still near the Sun on September 11. For a brief time after Sunset on September 11, the Moon would have been visible until 7:13 PM.
According to the testimony of Gabriel, who appeared to the shepherds, Jesus was born at night after 6:00 PM Hebrew time.
Luke 2:9-The angel said Christ was born "today in the city of David." "Today" meant this very day, which began after 6:00 PM Jewish time. Thus, Jesus was born at night, after 6:00 PM Jewish time. Assuming that the Moon needed to be visible over Bethlehem, the birth of Christ could have occurred between 6:13 PM (Sunset) and 7:13 PM on September 11, 3 BC.
9 And an angel from the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shined around them; and they were afraid with a great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, "Stop being afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great Happiness, which shall be for all people; 11 for today in the city of David there was born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
September 11 (Julian), 3 BC after 6 PM is 3 Tishri of the Hebrew calendar. Before 6 PM would have been 2 Tishri. However, that may not be absolute, since the Hebrew month began at the first appearance of the crescent Moon after the New Moon, which is assumed to be on September 10, the day after the actual New Moon. Tishri is the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar and the beginning of the New Year. Thus, the birth date of Jesus Christ according to the Great Sign in the heavens was September 11, 3 BC (Julian), 3 Tishri (Hebrew), about 7:00 PM (before 7:13 PM) in Bethlehem.
Virgo, the Virgin, symbolizes the Virgin Mary, who gave birth to Christ. The Sun in Virgo with three planets is a Father and Sons configuration, which attaches significance to the Father and his sons. In this case God was the Father and Jesus Christ was the Firstborn Son of God. Other sons of God would be the sons of Light. The Sun sign is the most important indicator of a person. The significance of Virgo is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born a man, perfect humanity, who was without sin and uniquely qualified to bear the sins of the world.
The Moon was in Libra, which symbolizes the congregation of Israel, the Church, and angels. Jesus Christ was the King of the Jews. The Church was called to be His Royal Family. And the angelic army led by Gabriel announced His coming to the shepherds. However, it was near the New Moon, which meant there was very little response to His coming. The angels announced the event to a few shepherds, and later the Magi came from Persia, but Israel was oblivious to the event. So, the New Moon foretold the rejection of Jesus Christ by His symbolic Right Woman, who was the congregation of Israel (John 1:11).
The Ascendant sign was Aries, for a leader. Jesus Christ was the Shepherd who leads the flock. Midheaven was near the Red Planet in Capricornus, for unlimited atonement, which was the purpose of Christ in coming to Earth. And the Almighty God Planet was in conjunction with Regulus in Leo, which symbolizes a king. Regulus was associated with the birth of kings, which the Magi knew. Jesus Christ was the King of the Jews. However, He will not ascend to the Throne of David until the Second Advent.
Father and Sons in Virgo
The Father and Sons configuration of the Sun with three additional planets in Virgo adds great significance to the sign in the Chart. The Father and Sons configuration symbolizes a special relationship to the father and his sons. In this case, God was the Father, and Jesus Christ was His Firstborn Son. With God as the Father, the Son had Deity. However, the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was also born of a woman, who was a virgin. Being born of a virgin meant He was without the sin of Adam and uniquely qualified to bear the sins of the world. Further, being born from a woman meant that He was homo sapiens. The Son of God had become a man. He was perfect humanity and undiminished deity combined in Hypostatic Union.
And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, and we saw His glory, the glory of the uniquely born from the Father, full of Grace and doctrine. (John 1:14)The Last Adam in Virgo, for a virgin born man, symbolized Jesus Christ as the Son of man, referring to His perfect humanity. The Last Adam was in opposition to the Mediator Planet in Pisces, for Christ, the intercessor, who interceded for man on the Cross and ever lives to make intercession for man (Hebrews 7:25). This opposition contrasts the human nature of Jesus Christ, who bore the sins of the world, with His priesthood.
The Sun in Virgo not only signified the Father-Son relationship but had various other meanings. It symbolized the virgin clothed with the Sun, who gave birth to Jesus Christ (Rev 12:1). It symbolized Christ, the Bridegroom (Psa 19:4-6). And it signified Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace (Isa 9:6). "There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace" (Isaiah 9:7). He would be the Good Shepherd, who gives His life for the sheep (John 10:11). He was the spotless Lamb of God, who before His shearers did not open His mouth (Isa 53:7). He willingly gave His life that others might live.
The Savior Planet in Virgo symbolizes the birth of the Son of God, the Savior. When Gabriel told Joseph to marry Mary, he explained:
"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)Gabriel also announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds, saying:
For today in the city of David there was born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Matthew 1:21)The Morning Star in Virgo symbolizes Christ as the Son of David in His First Advent. The birth of Christ was the dawning of a new day (2 Pet 1:19), a new age of the Gospel. After fulfilling His purpose to bear the sins of the world, the Lord would return as the Morning Star at the Second Advent to rule the Earth from the Throne of David for a thousand years (Rev 22:16-17, 20). The Morning Star is the herald of the dawn of the new day of the Millennium.
Other Planets
The God of the Covenants in Taurus symbolizes the New Covenant to the Church.
And the cup He took likewise after they had eaten, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant consecrated by means of My blood, which is poured out as a substitute for you. (Luke 22:20)In His death on the Cross, the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and ushered in the Church Age.
The Redeemer Planet in Scorpius symbolizes the payoff of a criminal. It foretells Christ's betrayal by Judas Iscariot for 30 pieces of silver (Matt 26:15). It also foretells the rejection of Jesus Christ by the Jews (Matthew 27:3-10).
The Sun was in Aries for a glorious leader, which corresponds to Jesus Christ as head of the Church and the Light of the world (John 8:12; 9:5; 12:46). The Moon was Full in Libra, which symbolizes justification of the congregation of believers through the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, which satisfied the perfect Justice of God the Father (Rom 5:9, 16-18).
Sun Sign
The Sun Sign was Aries, for a glorious leader. The Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, Israel, and all Gentile believers. He is the symbolic Right Man, or husband, of the Church and Israel. He is the highest authority over all Creation. He presides over the Supreme Court of Heaven. He is the Light of the world. After His Resurrection He was promoted to "King of kings and Lord of lords" and seated on the Throne of God as the ruler of all Creation. At the Second Advent He will sit on the Throne of David to rule the world.
Moon Sign
The Moon Sign was Libra, which symbolizes Justification of the congregation of believers. The substitutionary spiritual death of Christ on the Cross satisfied the Justice of God the Father on behalf of all mankind. Mankind was justified through the work of Christ on the Cross so that all who will believe can be saved.
At the Crucifixion, the Moon was Full, unlike the New Moon at the birth of Christ. The Full Moon symbolizes the full response of the congregation of believers to Christ. During the Full Moon, the Moon was in opposition to the Sun. This place of maximum response carries the possibility of Eclipse Testing. Although there was no Lunar Eclipse during the Crucifixion, the Full Moon symbolizes the Right Woman, which for Jesus Christ was the Church. The opposition also indicates that when the light of the Sun symbolically went out with the death of Christ, His Right Woman, the congregation of believers (future Church) suffered. This also symbolizes Retroactive Positional Truth - we died when Christ died (Rom 6:8; 2 Tim 2:11).
Yods
A Yod symbolizes a critical timing window, corresponding to the two planets at the base of the triangle. The point of the triangle indicates the critical time to strike. The crossed Yods signify a conflict of being crushed from two sides, like being gored by bulls or impaled on the horns of a wild ox (Psa 22:12, 21) or attacked with swords and clubs (Matt 26:55).
One of the Yods points to the Red Planet in Capricornus, which symbolizes unlimited atonement.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died as a substitute for the godless ones. (Romans 5:6)Unlimited atonement was the purpose of the First Advent, and at the right time in history, Christ paid for the sins of all mankind. Also in Capricornus was the Redeemer Planet, which symbolizes redeemed by blood. Mankind was purchased from the slave market of sin by the blood of Christ, which corresponds to His substitutionary spiritual death for the sins of the world.
1 Peter 1:18-19The other Yod points to the Mediator Planet in Leo, which symbolizes the Mediator of the Supreme Court of Heaven. When Jesus Christ was on the Cross, God the Father imputed the sins of the world to Him and Judged them. Jesus Christ, the Mediator, satisfied all of the requirements of God the Father on behalf of mankind. The Supreme Court of Heaven was satisfied with the work of Christ on the Cross.
18 Having known that you were not redeemed with perishable things, such as silver or gold, from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the Blood of Christ!
Coffin
A Coffin is for burying the dead. After Jesus Christ finished bearing the sins of the world, He dismissed His spirit and died physically. His body was placed in a tomb, corresponding to a coffin. He was Resurrected the third day.
Pisces
Pisces contains two planets. The Morning Star symbolizes Christ our High Priest (Heb 3:1; 4:14-16; 9:11, 24, 28). The Almighty God Planet symbolizes Christ as the Lord of all (Rom 10:12; Rev 5:11-13) and the Lord of lords (1 Tim 6:15; Rev 19:16). Upon His Resurrection Christ was given the new title of "King of kings and Lord of lords."
Taurus
The Savior Planet in Taurus symbolizes the Savior of the world. Jesus Christ is the only Savior of the world (Isa 45:21-24; Jn 4:42; 1 Tim 4:10).
Gemini
The God of the Covenants in Gemini symbolizes the New Covenant to the Church. The two witness of Gemini along with the God of the Covenants Planet correspond to the New Covenant between the Lord and the Church (Luke 22:20).
Sagittarius
The Last Adam in Sagittarius symbolizes the conspiracy that sent Jesus Christ to the Cross (Matt 26:55).
The Birth Chart of Jesus Christ with a Castle and a Father and Sons configuration in Virgo portrays the Lord Jesus Christ as the God-Man, a king and the son of a virgin. Although He was the King of the Jews and He did make a triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the Cross must come before the Crown; and He will not rule as King until the Millennium. As the Son of a virgin, He was born without the sin of Adam and uniquely qualified to bear the sins of the world. He fulfilled His purpose and went to the Cross to provide unlimited atonement for all mankind as symbolized by the Red Planet in Capricornus at the pinnacle of the Castle.
In the Chart of the Crucifixion of Christ, the Castle is overturned, indicating the death of a king. The crossed Yods portrayed the intense conflict and suffering of the Cross in contrast to the Prince of Peace.
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the Earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34)The Coffin in the Chart symbolized the burial of the body of Christ in a tomb. He would be Resurrected from the tomb on the third day. The Sun was in Aries for a glorious leader. Jesus Christ was Lord of all, the highest authority in Creation, "King of kings and Lord of lords."
The Birth of Christ fulfilled the prediction of the prophets. He would be born of a virgin as a man so that He could die for the sins of the world. Deity could not die. The Crucifixion of Christ fulfilled the Adamic Covenant, which promised a sacrifice for the sins of the world, and it fulfilled the promise of a sacrifice for sins in the Mosaic Law. The coming of Jesus Christ reset the calendar of human history and provided Salvation for all mankind. His First Advent was foretold by the prophets and echoed in the heavens. The Charts of His Birth and Crucifixion corroborate the scripture.
Because of the Judgment of Christ on the Cross, Salvation is available to all mankind. All who will believe in Jesus Christ will be saved.
And Salvation does not exist in any one else; for you see, there is no other name under heaven which has been given among men by means of which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)"Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved" (Acts 16:31)
